Lantern House is a cute casual restaurant with a festive decor, a surprise find in a strip mall. If you are searching for Vietnamese-style crispy spring rolls, this is the place to go. Their other dishes are good too but the spring rolls really stand out. I give them 4 stars only because I haven't tried many dishes. I order mostly the spring rolls and other appetizers on the menu because I love them so much!

My family of 6 adults and one toddler went here on a Sunday Night. The food was absolutely delicious. One of the most tastiest and flavorful pho broths I’ve had in all of Northern Virginia. I got the crushed ginger (P2)The restaurant is small, but decorated beautifully with colorful lanterns on the ceiling as well as a beautiful cherry blossom tree in the corner. The only note I would make is I would prefer if there was music playing a *little* bit louder because it seemed too quiet inside. Our server went above and beyond to accommodate for our toddler, interacting with him and even giving him a quarter of a fresh avocado that was left over from a smoothie he made.I would definitely be coming back here because the pho outranks other pho places in the northern Virginia area.

Fun decorations and comfortable restaurant. Aesthetically one of the nicer Vietnamese restaurants around. Even the drinkware is creative and pretty. Lovely tea. Nice staff and good service. However, they shred their green onions instead of slicing them and use yellow onions instead of white, which gives their pho a VERY onion-y flavor. Which I didn’t love, particularly the second time I went there and picked up carry-out.

After reading positive reviews about this restaurant, we decided to try it, and the overall experience was okay. Once we entered the premises, we noticed interesting design elements filled the place: artificial flowers on the ceiling and a massive microphone on the side, as well as artificial cherry blossoms covering a side wall with colorful Vietnamese lanterns and that was something that we didn't experience at any other places. Food, in general, was okay, but not the best or most flavorful with qualities. Service was decent overall, but we are unlikely to revisit this restaurant.Parking: There is a parking space for customers in front of the restaurant.

My friend found this spot so we decided to try it on the weekend. - Fried Crispy Rolls -- crunchy with tasty filling - Tai / Eye Round Steak Pho -- my go-to for pho; I prefer the meat to be raw, but it was served fully cooked in the broth - Bun Bo Hue / Spicy Beef Noodle Soup -- nicer portion size compared to mine The interior is quite cozy and nicely decorated with lanterns. Overall, the service was good.

Great food and very nice staff. Among othe dishes, had the caramelized fish, which was excellent, and vegetarian summer rolls. Everything was top notch. Highly recommend.

I came here based on the reviews and was quite disappointed. Ordered the Bun Bo with spring rolls. The rolls were good but the rice noodles completely overcooked and mushy. The sauce had no taste. The options at Eden Center are much much better. Will not be coming back here.

Decided to try this place base in the google review. The service was ok, the owner manager was our server he is a passive/ aggressive person, toward to be rude.We get the menu and I state that was our first time there so we need time to check our options but he still coming every minute to ask if we are ready, it was annoying and feel pressured just to order whatever… Then when finally ready to order, we just start to dictate the order when the phone rang and he runs to get the call( never said excuse me a second or something like that)then couple people walk in to pick up some orders and he still attended them, so we were like a good 10/ 15 minutes with the menu in our hand waiting for him after he was rushing us.The food contrary at what it read in the review is eatable but not good, I ordered the seafood pho, but I ask not to have the fish balls, so I get a pho with 4 SHRIMPS, yes just 4 for $18 that it’s a ripoff, he said it come with calamari but I didn’t see any calamari in my pho. It’s expensive for the average price in vietnamese food, the ambience is not welcomed, the food is just ok and the service make you feel uncomfortable. No recomendable at all.

I've had pho and iced tea from lantern house and I'm always so impressed with the food and drinks there! There's a cute ambience inside and it's quite easy to get seated as a walk in. They have several different bahn mi and pho options and my favorite is the beef pho. The ingredients taste very fresh and the portion size is quite large for a reasonable price. Recommend for both dine in and to go options!
