Cool coffee spot. Especially if you’re waiting for a patient to be done at Kaiser. Got the nitro on draft. Can’t remember exactly what it was but the flavors caught my eye when I read it. Also got the double chocolate chip cookie. Cookie was really good. Crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. Not too sweet either

Rare Bird used to be great but today between the wait (they need more folks working - this isn’t meant to be a knock on those actually working because they were working hard!) - it took almost 40 minutes to get a latte and a cinnamon roll to go. The latte was not hot and the cinnamon roll ended up being really disappointing (both dry and underbaked at the same time). I’d recommend trying them on a non-weekend day but get your cinnamon rolls elsewhere.

Wow what a cute cafe!! The biscuit sandwiches and sugar cookies were so good. Nice latté as well. I got the pimento cheese biscuit because I’m in the south and the south does pimento cheese right. As you can see from my pictures, I absolutely adored the sugar cookies with edible flowers. There was a huge line to get coffee and food, so beware! So worth it.

A rare bird indeed, excellent expresso coffee, something that is hard to find in the US and tasty food, especially the morning bread. Highly recommended.

TL;DR: cute coffee shop with lots of selection of coffee, lattes, pastries. Everything was very middle of the road in terms of tasteCame here on a rainy Saturday morning and it was still packed! The line was consistently long and finding a table could be tough. There is a parking lot in the back with 30 minute parking, but can be difficult to find a spot at times.Interior was very cute and the service works fast.FOOD & DRINK:~Iced Americano (2.5/5): too light/watered down for our taste~BEC Biscuit (3/5): Egg was fluffy, but the biscuit seemed like it was over baked because some parts of the edges felt stale/chewy (not in the good way). The inside reminded more of bread than a biscuit~Cinnamon Roll (3.5/5): was pretty good! Wish it had more cinnamon flavor on the inside spread~Chocolate Almond Croissant (2/5): Maybe this was a bad one, but this has so much potential to be really good. It's loaded with almonds and the inside paste was really tasty. But the croissant was so burnt on the outside, that it overpowered the rest of the pastry with the charred taste. This place is okay and maybe their lattes are better than their plain black coffee, and maybe their other pastries are better than the ones we tried.

I recently visited and unfortunately had a negative experience with the service. The staff's demeanor was disappointing, as they spoke in a disrespectful manner, using inappropriate language. I believe that promoting a more respectful and friendly atmosphere among staff members would greatly enhance the overall customer experience. I hope that this feedback is taken constructively to improve the service for future patrons.

This cafe has the best atmosphere among the cafes in Falls Church. There are plenty of seats to sit in, and you can get your coffee quickly. If you come to falls church, be sure to stop by here?

Rare bird is my absolute favorite local coffee shop the best matcha, croissants, and pour overs. They have such kind owners and the pastries and coffee are delicious.

Rare Bird does not miss with the quality of coffee at all. They have a stylish, well-maintained Strada and a great selection of coffees. Love the naturals every time. Some really great, thoughtfully designed, locally thrown drinkware. It's a serious gem.Parking: Street parking is a bit of a premium here. There's a local public lot just around the block. Perhaps not the best for accessibility, but there are options.

Did a coffee cupping class this past weekend and the coffees we sampled were very tasty. Unfortunately, I have yet to try any specialty drinks, but my wife ordered herself a drink and something to eat and was impressed with both. We would definitely come back here!

With the massive amount of space Rare Bird occupies, I find it extremely odd that they would decide to “no longer carry” almond milk due to lack of space (per the cashier.)Only having regular milk and oat milk as a coffee shop seems like an odd choice as many customers won’t want either of those.Regardless, the interior is beautiful and atmosphere is fantastic. I really hope they reconsider their decision and introduce more milk alternatives to the menu.Dietary restrictions: As stated above, they only carry 2 milk options, whole milk and oat milk. Very unaccomodating.

Delicious and authentic espresso and tea. The sizes are smaller than commercial coffee chains but the taste is way better. I recommend the Marocchino (this is a smaller mocha drink) and I also tried the seasonal spiced orange espresso latte. Both were delicious. Much larger on the inside of the building then it appears as well. There is a parking lot behind the building.
