Good food and good customer service, highly recommend

The summer rolls are really good, my only complaint is that the shrimp was a bit greasy and the roll wasn’t rolled very well. Other than that, I can’t think of a better summer/spring/winter roll I’ve had in the past 5 years. So this place gets a full 5 stars.

First visit to check it out. Ordered the spicy lemongrass chicken banhmi, got home, no chicken. Double checked my ticket and it had lemongrass chicken. Did not have pate. Disappointed and will not go back. It was clean inside but the kitchen crew was obviously not paying attention.

I used to LOVE their original location in Tysons. Sadly, like any other restaurant that expanded, prices have gone wayyyy up and the food quality has gone wayyyy down.

The mẹ fried rice, while flavorful, definitely did not spend enough time on the stove. Ingredients were lukewarm and not well-mixed. I imagined they threw everything together, throw down some oil, shook the pan for 30 seconds, and then served it to me. It was the biggest disappointment of the meal.

The bánh mì was good, but not enough salt.

The idea of a side of phở broth is genius (why don’t more restaurants do this?). We got 2 bowls. Both were lukewarm and not very flavorful. Too much MSG and not enough bones in the broth.

The rolls were ok… not enough flavor in the chicken. The shrimp was extremely mid.

The restaurant layout is awful. It’s clear they want to discourage dine-in as much as possible. 3 wably high tops and loud music while lots of people were around us waiting for their orders.

Service was good. Ordering was fast and easy.

The price for this was $60… that’s a LOT for fast casual.

It used to be worth it for us to go and enjoy some novel Viet food. Now it’s no longer worth it. I’m sad about this as Roll Play used to be SUCH a treat. Now you’d be better off going to Eden Center again. The food won’t be as expensive, tastes about the same, and there’s space to sit down.

Took me forever to visit, but once I did I became a regular. Banh mi with sriracha mayo is my favorite, also the salmon bowl. You won't be disappointed.

I go here at least weekly. Very easy to find, walk to, or park. It's connected to another restaurant. So many great healthy options! Also, substitutions are easily possible with their order system. The new salmon dishes have been an awesome option. It's always perfect and healthy, available in a reasonable time frame.

Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian item for every animal product option.

Dietary restrictions: Very easily to make substitutions or changes.

Parking: There is paid parking near, street and free street parking. Plenty of options near.

Kid-friendliness: There are many smaller options and sides. They might have child options

Wheelchair accessibility: All ground floor in a walkable area.

Food was just ok. Not bad, but not "I have to go back." This is especially true when considering the price you pay. Good atmosphere to eat outside if you have good weather.

I went to Roll Play with a group of friends for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and we all had a wonderful time! We enjoyed our food very much: spring rolls, salads, rice bowls and fried rice were all excellent. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. The man working the front counter was friendly and helpful. The indoor seating area is small, so we sat outdoors, where Roll Play has their own set of small tables and there’s also a common area with benches. It’s a pleasant place to sit outside on a nice day. We look forward to going back soon!

I passed by this place on my way home for work and today I decided to give them a try. And because I’m always wanting a good banh mi sandwich and spring rolls fried or summer, and theirs is pretty good! I recommend them and I’ll have to try other dishes.

The food was great, the staff greated us and helped with our order. Just because I have 2 toddlers, the high top tables, not a big fan, but other than that it's good

We stopped by for fresh summer rolls that were absolutely delicious with a satisfying crunch amid the tofu and vegetables. We tried the peanut sauce and the avocado cilantro. Both super tasty with the cilantro
Sauce especially offering a bright and complex flavor that had us scraping the edges to get the very last bit. The staff offered helpful guidance to modify anything on the menu for vegetarian and vegan options. One of the delightful owners, Ashley, offered a sample of their rich veggie broth which makes us eager to try their pho. Stop by for Thursday night music at Founders Row and get some Roll Play to go for a picnic. We will be back! So glad to have this fresh new option in our neighborhood.

If you’re looking for authenticity, definitely don’t go here, the dishes are very Americanized and 100% marketed towards health-conscious, trendy young folks…which is interesting lol. To be honest, I only came here because I had a gift card. But!! I ended up being pleasantly surprised by the food, their cha gio was delicious, and I actually very much enjoyed the spicy oxtail pho (although it’s not spicy whatsoever). Would I say it tasted like pho? Not reaaaally. But just objectively going on flavor, it tasted great, and there was a ton of oxtail provided! If you’re gonna go here, I would 100% get that dish. Taking off one star just because having “Viet Street Food” in the title is a little…misleading lol it definitely should be “Viet-American” or maybe “Viet Inspired.”

Can’t speak to the other food here, but the spring rolls are SO GOOD. And I can’t get enough of the peanut sauce.
