Chilcanos RestoBar - Peruvian Restaurant & Pollos a la Brasa

We didn't have a good experience at Chilcano's last weekend. The food was not what I expected since Peruvian food is so good. My husband had to wait over 40 minutes for his Jalea while the rest of the table was served promtly. The next table received their Jalea in less than 10 minutes. When we asked, the server said the cook had to cook sea food at once and that's why my husband had to wait. That is an unacceptable answer. I won't return to your place and make sure my friend's won't return either. In addition your AC does not work and you automatically charge 20% to the bill and extra % when we sign the bill.

The waiter did his best in the service, but the seafood plate I ordered was not so good. I had to ask the waiter for an exchange with a different dish and he told me that he would consult with the chef. Minutes later he returned and said that the chef suggested his choice of meat from the menu. So, I told the waiter that I don't eat meat on Fridays and ordered another seafood dish from the menu. This was my second visit. The first time I had dinner there, I ordered chicharrones, but they were too dry and crispy. I hope the food service improves as Peruvian cuisine is becoming more popular today. There are no complaints about the waiter even though he initially said he needed the chef's “approval” to change my dish.

Tienen de todo but unfortunately came too late. They were out of pollo a la brasa. The yuca was so good though. Wish I could’ve tried more

A 100% recommendable place, the food was exquisite and the service was excellent. Miss Suany served us very kindly and was always aware of what we needed and she recommended me and my entire family some very delicious dishes. It was a very good experience and a pleasant moment. We will return. coming soon

Food is pretty tasty and consistent. This time I had anticuchos de corazón (heart skewers) and ceviche not pictured. Finished it with picarones (Peruvian fried donut).
