Tl;dr Store had cleanliness issues, proprietor was friendly, I wouldn’t go back because I don’t want to be worrying about the first issue (esp. not for $10/medium cup).First time visit. We arrived just at opening time and I don’t recommend that because the opening up process was TMI. We were asked to wait in the eating area while the yogurt machines were being prepped. That was fine but the tables hadn’t been cleaned from the night before, ugh. The plate that catches hot fudge drips had yesterday’s leavings on it. I’m pretty sure serving utensils for the toppings are left on the counter overnight, then stuck back in. I suppose there’s no rule that gloves should be worn for this procedure but in conjunction with the other unkempt aspects mentioned, it didn’t feel great to observe. Some of the utensils had traces of their respective toppings on the handles and, since we were the first users of the day, I took that as evidence of lack of daily cleaning and sterilization. Multiple times lids for the toppings containers were dropped on the floor and I began to suspect they would be merely picked up and put back on later. Some of these are things that might happen at home but I wouldn’t want to see in a public restaurant with many hands and feet coming through. I’m torn about this last bit but I mention it just in case it should happen to someone else: the cc reader was a little odd and later in the evening I found that my number had been stolen and five purchases made online. SweetFrog was the only out of ordinary purchase I had made in recent days. Perhaps it’s just coincidence, in which case I wouldn’t want to give the store a bad name for the wrong reasons. (It appears I’m up for doing so for verifiable reasons, though!) OTOH, if it saves someone else from a bad experience, maybe it’s worth mentioning.

This is the dirtiest Sweet Frog I’ve ever been to. Everything in the store is covered in a layer of grime and sticky residue. The ice cream machines themselves and the toppings bar are reasonably clean, but the chairs, tables, walls and floor are all grimy and gross. It’s like the owners or employees have never done more than a cursory wipe of egregious surface spills. My 7yr old daughter came out of the bathroom there today and said “Mom that bathroom is SO gross!”
