I haven’t been back to this area since I moved to Maryland, but while waiting to charge my Tesla, I stopped by with my daughter for a quick bite. We were pleasantly surprised — the food was amazing, and the staff truly impressed us. Everything tastes authentic and super flavorful. The Thai papaya salad is fresh with the perfect kick, and the Shrimp Paste Fried Rice is a must — seriously so good.

Love their food but their service is questionable. I ordered for pick up and she gave me a dirty look for not tipping - I’m sorry but I’m not tipping when I’m walking in and then out of a place .. and then she complained that I forgot to ask for chilli sauce on the phone - making it seem like such a chore to just grab me a pre packed chilli sauce .. no thank you. Don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again just purely because of the bad attitude

Immediately loved the play on word Thaisons/Tysons since it encompasses 2 meanings (the type of food and the location). In addition to the positive reviews, we decided to spend our New Year's Day dinner here. Surprisingly, they were able to seat us right away despite our large group size.
First impressions, the servers were very accommodating, attentive, and friendly. The decor is tastefully modern with an elevated look. There were also seasonally decorated with the Christmas lights and holiday furnishings. There are indoor and outdoor seatings available. They also have a garage door, which I assume opens in the summer, but even when it's closed during the winter you can feel a draft.
Once we placed our food, they came out fairly quickly. For our appetizers, we ordered the Crispy Chive Dumplings (which are cute little cube-shaped dumplings) and the Duck Roti. For our meal, we ordered: Tofu & Vegetable Soup, Stir-Fried Garlic (Chicken), Sun-Dried Beef, Pad See Ew (Beef), Thaisons Pad Thai (Chicken), and the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Our beverages consisted: Thai Iced Tea, Mango Mojito, and Rose Lychee Tini. EVERYTHING was on point! Food came out nice, hot, flavorful, and delicious. I would say my only criticism is that the Pad Thai lacked the tanginess that I crave.
There are 2 unisex restrooms, with 1 containing a changing table.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The food and service exceeded our expectations. We will be returning customers, for sure! Highly recommend!
Thaisons is a great local staple, but competes with some really exceptional Thai restaurants in the region. Staff were friendly, food was good, very clean restaurant and bathrooms. Overall, a great dining experience.

After a long workday and picking up my kid from activities, we hoped for a reliable dinner, but this visit was disappointing. Although we have loved the food here in the past, this was our second consecutive experience having to send dishes back. We ordered two servings of drunken noodles, but it took multiple attempts to get it right; first the order was incorrect, then it was far too spicy, and the version without fish oil lacked any flavor. While the drink we ordered was good and I appreciate the staff replacing the meals, my appetite was gone by the time the food arrived. I thought the previous issues might be a one-time occurrence, but after a repeat experience, I’ll have to skip this place next time we plan a night out.

Why am I giving this restaurant 2 stars when I gave the food, service, and atmosphere a 4?
Unfortunately, the last time we ate there a mouse scurried from the back of the restaurant to the front. This is a health code violation.
I visited here for the first time today, and the food had such an authentic traditional Thai flavor it was so delicious that words can't describe it. The service at the bar was extremely friendly and attentive, and everything was excellent. I'll definitely be back with my daughter.

Beautiful space and exceptional food! Everything we tried was incredibly flavorful, and the presentation was just as impressive. The service was outstanding;polite, welcoming, and very attentive. When we couldn’t finish our dishes, they kindly brought boxes, helped us pack our food, and even offered extra rice at no charge. The service was fast, the atmosphere was lovely, and the overall experience was wonderful. We’ll definitely be coming back!
