It's a great local concert venue. Good tribute bands and a well stocked bar. Acoustics are great. What else do you need?

I went for a Latin music event. It was nice with the live band. Nothing compared to a salsa dancing event.

Great older venue for music. Must reserve table or standing room only.

What a gem in Falls Church! We recently went to The State Theatre for a yacht rock show featuring Thurston Howell, and it was such a fantastic experience. The venue itself has such a cool vibe—it used to be an old movie theater and now hosts live music and comedy shows. It’s got this perfect mix of history and fun energy.

One big plus is the free parking at Whole Foods and Kaiser—it makes the night out so much easier. Another pleasant surprise? The food! I ordered a burger that was cooked perfectly, and the housemade potato chips were out of this world. My friend had the pulled pork barbecue sandwich and couldn’t stop raving about it—especially since the prices are super reasonable for a live music venue.

And while Thurston Howell absolutely rocked the stage, one of the highlights of the night was our bartender. I wish I remembered her name, but she was an absolute star—friendly, fast, and attentive. Nobody at the bar ever seemed to be waiting for anything because she was just that good.

All in all, this place checks every box: great music, great food, and great service. I can’t wait to come back for another show!

We went to see the 80s rock band the Legwarmers. The theatre was comfortable for such an event. However, I'm rating 2 stars out of five because before the band started the performance on stage, there was a movie screen showing murder scenes from movies, cutting throats! Also, during the band's intermission, pornography was shown, really?? It was an 80s event so why not showing the evolution from such era. Music videos, the discoteques from that time. Or to play Fashion videos or simply the 80s music for the audience to keep dancing traveling in our memories with it. In addition, I noticed the security is not that strict. There was not weapon detector and people were allowed to be in the dance floor with beer bottles. Great thing the people from last night behaved as expected but you never know. So, State Theatre management, there is always room to improve.

It's been here forever but the old vibe is part of the experience. Never had a bad time here

Love this place. Awesome shows. I only wish they server better food, or like specials for the night.
