I have been craving for some good pulled pork for a while now. As a resident of Carroll County for 20 yrs now I have been very disappointed by what I have experienced in this area. So I would always take a road trip to see family & satisfy my taste buds. Right now I'm unable to do those trips. I have passed by The Country Store many times on my way to Mount Airy. I promised my 4 yr old grandson that if he would pick up his train toys, I would take him there for ice cream....
Stopped here as we're crossing through for vacation and it's such a cute little country store. Great breakfast and the service was lovely, very welcoming. Very delightful atmosphere.
Cute little mom and pop store nestled in the mountains. Old timey feel with chess board set up at one table and a puzzle started that anyone can sit down and add pieces. Live entertainment on certain days. Food was great especially smoked mac and cheese and BBQ!
