The lady at the front, Carma, is amazing, beautiful, kind, and so great with the wine tastings! My husband and I came today and we will be back because of our experience with her!!! She’s such a gem and a GREAT face for the company. Definitely who they want welcoming the customers when they walk in. Come see her on Fridays for a glass of wine or a tasting. She is a great conversationalist and is so friendly- you won’t regret making a trip out!

Beautiful views of northern Botetourt County. My wife enjoyed the flight of wines and chocolates. I personally enjoyed one of their finest cans of Dr. Pepper and relaxed in a comfortable chair and the afternoon sun.

I don’t write a lot of reviews in general but it’s the least I can do when the owner jump starts my vehicle’s dead battery!We found this winery after looking for one in the mountains and we found both the staff and the wine exceptional. I had a glass of Petit Verdot, dry and full of flavor, while my mother-in-law had the Chardonnay Reserve which she also enjoyed. I was offered samples of the Verdot and the Cabernet Franc without asking, which was nice. I live 8 hours away and was only visiting Roanoke or else I would visit again and again to try the other wines.

Even in cold weather the staff is friendly and the wine is great. Plenty of parking and a small indoor area to warm up.

Such friendly employees- they made us feel like family when we visited. Great conversations and welcoming feel. Bought several different bottles of wine and enjoyed samples there- such a warm inviting atmosphere!

Amazing first experience at VA Mountain Vineyards.From being very dog friendly to suggesting wines for a generous flight to having a variety of seating options, all with beautiful views of the mountains. Everything was top notch! I’ll definitely be back!! Thank you for a wonderful experience late on a Sunday!

Amazing winery and experience! My friends and I enjoyed talking with the owners, Jacqui and Brian..They are just wonderful people and the view is absolutely breath taking! Their wine is THE BEST In the state. I highly recommend purchasing a case before you leave as you will miss it once you’re gone!

Beautiful location...

I am very upset in how the owner acted on my wedding day. Even though it was raining a little I still wanted my ceremony outdoors and she kept insisting to have it in the tent. They never put up the chairs for my ceremony, so when I walked down the aisle everyone is standing up.. I have 80 year old grandparents that needed to sit down. It was so embarrassing and sad. Towards the end of the night after the send off at 10pm, shortly after around 10:15 she started raise her voice at us (including the wedding party) to quickly pack everything up and get out. We had the Venue until 11pm and the next morning to pick up our things so I wasn’t sure why she was so upset and yelling at everyone. It definitely put me in a bad mood on my wedding night. She talked to all of us like we were children. I feel like I can’t ever go back and visit where I got married. To any brides that want to get married here.. just don’t! Unless you want to be stressed out by the owner all day. I’m not the only bride that has gone through this here. I also heard from someone who knows the owner that she has said how she hates weddings and doesn’t enjoy having them at her vineyard. Maybe don’t have a wedding venue and ruin peoples wedding day and make them miserable just because you are a miserable person?!
