Oh my goodness, for me, this was a hidden gem only 30 minutes from my home. The food was hot, homemade, and scrumptious! The service was amazing, and they served cocktails. Win-win!
This was the only restaurant open on Christmas Eve in Floyd; we were nervous after reading the reviews recently but we were pleasantly surprised! The service was quick and excellent, he didn't show up too often but checked on us and refilled drinks with perfect timing. The food is classic diner food and it tastes great; chicken salad sandwich, Rueben and 2 bacon cheeseburgers. The coleslaw was so good, perfectly seasoned with celery seed! Fries are crinkle cut and fat, cooked...
We came across this restaurant by chance. We had spent the day on the BRP. So glad we stopped in. Wife had Corn beef Ruben, loved it. I had the bacon burger with onion rings, loved it.
Service was great and friendly. Beer ice cold with a ice cold frosty mug. We are 2 hours away but will go back soon to try the ribs... and other stuff.
