So very glad we stopped here, we only wish we had done it sooner!! They have a very welcoming atmosphere and staff. Their service was outstanding. And the food??? I cannot say enough good things!! Very very flavorful!!! Pretty sure they just ruined all my favorite Mexican restaurants at home for me. Now I have to drive 4 hours to get that good good!!

This restaurant is phenomenal!! The people here are always smiling and happy!! The food is always fresh and phenomenal and they bring it out really fast here!! This is one of the top Mexican restaurants that I have ever been to and it is most definitely fine dining in Floyd county!! It's definitely a visit that you will make more than once!!

This is my second time in Floyd since March 2025. I have eaten at El Charro at least twice in those two visits and find the service, hospitality, food quality and pricing to make this restaurant a good choice for lunch or dinner. The quantity is average to slightly above average with a friendly staff and quick turnaround of your meal. Have a Giant Margarita if you are so inclined. Outdoor dining is available.
I don't know if this restaurant is under new management or what has happened to it. We ordered two medium Margaritas and received two jumbos. It was all just Margarita mix and no tequila at all. Then we received our food.....The taco shell and the filling were COLD and the rice was also cold. The salsa they served with the tortilla chips was awful/bitter and thin as water. We asked for some white sauce and it was just (cheap mayonaise) with some pepper on top. Horrible... and plus it was $2.00 extra! They don't have to give us another thought, we will not be back again.

I ordered the pollo ala Mexicano. I decided to give a review while sitting here because of the skimpy amount of chicken given for $14.50. I've just sorry I didn't take the pic when it first came. I go to a lot of Mexican restaurants & have never had this. I will not be coming back to patronize this place. I wonder what else they are cutting back on.
