We used to absolutely love this store but that was years ago. It is definitely no longer a “country store”. Wish it still was. It is very much staged now instead of an authentic country store experience.

Went to get ice cream here and the young lady with the mustache and lip piercing was the rudest worker I’ve ever seen in a customer service job

What has happened to the food? My husband and I used to love to eat there but it has changed. Our favorite was the quiche!! The quiche were incredibly delicious!!! We never had one that was not great. Please bring back the quiche! When the quiche come back we will go back.

A really nice town with such a nice music scene. Bring your own guitar and play a song. .

An all time classic. Worth the drive down from from the 81 or the parkway or from anywhere really. Great food too. Didn’t expect that. Music is amazing, atmosphere is legendary, and it is just a great place to spend an evening. So glad it just keeps going and going. Also, the ambiance around the store with jam sessions and folks trying to pick a tune here, there, and everywhere is unbelievable. So fun.

This place was a lot of fun, with what appears to be a genuine folk experience with traditional food, music, toys and beautiful souvenirs. We enjoyed this more than any other attraction on our trip. Highly recommended.

i have been visiting this place for over 20 years, and it never gets old. Food is great, and mountain music is a constant reminder of my heritage and roots in the Blue Ridge mountains. the nostalgia of a bygone place but up to date and a great stop

Floyd country store was better than I expected. I'm a bluegrass music fan from NJ and I've heard a lot about this place along the Crooked Road music circuit (a collection of bluegrass music venues in the region). I arrived at the country store on a Saturday just after noon in late October and a live band was playing, and they were good. Most of the time I browsed the gifts and shopped while listening to the good tunes. The place was crowded but not in a stifling way. Fun visit. I will come again, for sure. The in-house restaurant is very popular but I did not eat here.
