I ate some of the best collards I have ever eaten here. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They also have a lot of great finds for Christmas presents.
Vegan friendly!! Yayyy! If you haven’t been to Floyd it’s a must, especially for the food.
We love the ambience & music here but the food was phenomenal. Hubs said best collards he’s ever had. Tempeh Reuben is delicious (real rye bread - 🤤) & that Mac n cheese has no breadcrumbs, just cheese, as God intended. We can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Sad face that it’s an hour from us but it’s a pretty parkway drive from Roanoke so it’s worth it.
3 vegan & lots of vegetarian options 🙏 This proves to all other restaurants it can be done & done well.
this is a very fun place to go to especially on the weekends. the Friday night jamboree is really fun the store itself is been around over 100 years they've been doing this parties down here all the time for a long time they have great merchandise local crafts CDs books toys household goods and a lot more they have a great Cafe they are have a lot of good food cakes pies and all kinds of other good treats the cornbread made in the skillet is great they have a lot of great entertainment here it's like a big gathering spot for the whole town here is conveniently near Salem Virginia and Roanoke as well and there's a lot of things to do in Floyd county historic areas to see it's a great place to go visit and it's great for the whole family I highly recommend a trip to here when you were able to you will have a great time and the whole family will as well for the young and old
A must-visit for fans of American roots music, with great pinto beans 'n cornbread.
big fan of enzo
enzo is amazing
Sunday bluegrass jam, friendly community. Nice store.
Awesome food. Pricey but good! Get a fountain drink, they have real cane sugar choices.
We used to absolutely love this store but that was years ago. It is definitely no longer a “country store”. Wish it still was. It is very much staged now instead of an authentic country store experience.
Went to get ice cream here and the young lady with the mustache and lip piercing was the rudest worker I’ve ever seen in a customer service job

What has happened to the food? My husband and I used to love to eat there but it has changed. Our favorite was the quiche!! The quiche were incredibly delicious!!! We never had one that was not great. Please bring back the quiche! When the quiche come back we will go back.
A really nice town with such a nice music scene. Bring your own guitar and play a song. .
Friendly folks and good food in an old time setting!
An all time classic. Worth the drive down from from the 81 or the parkway or from anywhere really. Great food too. Didn’t expect that. Music is amazing, atmosphere is legendary, and it is just a great place to spend an evening. So glad it just keeps going and going. Also, the ambiance around the store with jam sessions and folks trying to pick a tune here, there, and everywhere is unbelievable. So fun.
This place was a lot of fun, with what appears to be a genuine folk experience with traditional food, music, toys and beautiful souvenirs. We enjoyed this more than any other attraction on our trip. Highly recommended.
