This restaurant was highly recommended by friends so we gave it a try while visiting Floyd, VA on September 4. Even made an advance reservation to guarantee a table. We were promptly seated and our server greeted us quickly and brought water. After that, everything went downhill fast. We ordered hushpuppies (as an appetizer) and a salad. They were average and it took about 15 minutes to get butter for the hushpuppies. The host finally brought it to us. Our server was totally overwhelmed with other tables from the moment she delivered our water. Took FOREVER to get her attention. Our dinners were horrible. My hubby got Parkway Pasta (supposed to be pasta, mushrooms, green onions in a cream sauce with balsamic). It was completely inedible...looked more like something from the garbage than a freshly prepared dish. He said it just tasted like pasta with vinegar poured on it (and we like balsamic vinegar....just not in that quantity). I got the pork wrapped in bacon with potatoes and house veggies. Potatoes were burned, pork was so overcooked it was so tough and the veggies were also way overdone. All in all, an awful experience. Our most expensive meal while visiting Floyd and our worst. (Wish we had left and gone back to Dogtown Roadhouse!) Don't do it! The food is inedible, it is expensive and the service is awful.

I would have easily rated my visit a five. The food and service was excellent. Three friends enjoyed cocktails, appetizers and main course at a 5:00PM reservation. Two of us finished our meals and were waiting for the third friend to finish. The waitress came with the bill and I paid $171.00 cash including the tip. At approximately 6:00 PM, the hostess approached us and asked us to leave saying that she had another reservation waiting. I feel this was unreasonable since one of us still had a plate in front of them and the amount of food we ordered could easily take an hour to consume. My opinion is the hostess was extremely rude to ask us to leave. I will never go back to the Parkway Grille, in Floyd, Virginia.

Absolutely the worst food in Floyd County or that I've ever had. Service was terrible and people are very rude. Would not recommend

Let me start by saying the food and service were excellent! But, the evening had a rocky start. I made reservations in mid January for Valentine's Day night. I'm a single mom and wanted to take my son out for a special evening. He is 5, so I understand people might assume the worst. I called that afternoon to check on my reservation and they couldn't find it. They called me back and said I had a reservation for 6:30 pm at a high top table. At 6:10 I got a call asking if I was going to make it for my 6:00 reservation. I was in the parking lot, so we made our way inside. When I gave my name, the hostess went back to the podium and had a conversation with several waitresses. After a short wait we were seated at a table for 6. When I asked the reason they said the smaller tables were or couples because it was Valentine's Day. I mentioned that that was why I made reservations in advance. We were not moved to a better table. Meanwhile they seated a pregnant woman in her 3rd trimester at the high top table. Obviously none of these girls have ever been pregnant. You really don't want to climb up to get into your seat at that stage of the game. But, we were there and seated, so I decided to let it go. The waitress we had was wonderful. The food was excellent and my son got several compliments from other guests on his gentlemanly behavior. We even purcased a signed giclee canvas (local artist StarRoot) before leaving for the evening. We had the fried green tomatoes, he had chicken tenders and the fruit bowl (it was beautiful and very fresh) and I had the crab cake and cocoa rubbed steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. A little grace could have been extended to my son at the start, but hopefully this was a learning experience.

We did not have a reservation but the wait was only 20 minutes. Food was delicious and very much above what we expected. The menu was definitely chef quality. Prices were reasonable and specials were available. Staff was friendly and attentive.

What a great atmosphere! Smiling faces and our waitress knew her stuff!! Thanks for the fabulous food and great service! Started out with Cheese Curds, they were delicious! Had Gen Tso Chicken, Shrimp tacos, big juicy Ribeye and a grilled cheese! Everything we had was so flavorful and yummy! Enjoyed it so much went back a week later and got a to-go order order of Gen Tso!! Highly recommend!

Excellent burgers! We stopped here for the first time recently. My husband is very particular about burgers, and he was extremely pleased with his perfectly cooked bacon cheeseburger. I thoroughly enjoyed mine also. Even their buns are nice. We ordered fries and sweet potato fries, both of which were good. Will definitely go back.

We ate dinner there on Friday, Nov. 1. The wonderful hostess remembered we wanted a window seat, and since we were early, we ordered a drink from the bar. The bartender was so nice and friendly. Our waitress, Justine, was superb! So friendly and top notch! and our food could not have been more delicious. I ordered the salmon dish with pasta, artichokes, etc. and my husband ordered scallops. (he said they were the best he had ever eaten plus so were the mashed potatoes.). The other couple with us raved about their dinners also! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, and we cannot wait to come back. You are truly doing everything right...your staff and your food! Thank you! most sincerely, Julie and Ron Morgan, Danbury, NC

I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It was juicy and packed full of flavor. The house made chips were crispy and cooked perfectly with a perfect amount of salt to them. My boy had fries with his which were done perfectly and delicious as well. The hostess was warm and welcoming which matched the wonderful energy of the tentative servers! A wonderful place to stop for a meal, you will not be disappointed.

Atmosphere is always great. Service awesome. But let's talk food, wife's Cod was great. I ordered the special Scollops. Large Scollops cooked with a Cranberry glaze. 4 little Scollops no more then 1 in across. Glaze had Cranberries, but no glaze was more of a flavorless sauce, added nothing to the 4 mini scollops. Also, the cost of these little Scollops was 33 dollars. We love this place. But you can do much better.

Absolutely incredible experience at Parkway Grill in Floyd! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing meal. We started with the fried okra and warm pretzels, both of which were a huge hit—crispy, perfectly seasoned okra and soft, warm pretzels that melted in our mouths. For our entrees, we tried the Blue Burger and Shrimp and Grits, and both dishes were phenomenal! The Blue Burger was juicy with a perfect balance of flavors, and the shrimp and grits were creamy and rich, with just the right kick. Each dish was crafted with care and full of flavor. Highly recommend Parkway Grill if you’re in Floyd; it’s a spot that truly delivers on every level!

My husband & I recently visited Floyd VA. We went to Parkway Grille on Thursday night. We didn't have reservations, but we're seated promptly. My husband got salad special with scallops. I got stir fry with chicken. Both were delicious. Server was very attentive & friendly. This is a wonderful restaurant in the small town of Floyd.
