We had an amazing time getting cocktails, appetizers, and delicious entrees. The drinks were meticulously crafted and tasty and the food was spectacular. Combine that with an immersive environment that puts you right in the middle of the prohibition era and you’ve got a great night. The bartenders were friendly and dedicated to their craft. All in all a wonderful night. Definitely recommend spending some time here.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in parking lot

I'm leaving a 4 star rating because I believe this place has potential and I'd really like it to stay open and thrive. The atmosphere here is really cool. Hits a nice sweet spot between the quirkiness of Floyd and the normal classy environment you associate with craft cocktail bars. The decor was maybe a bit kitschy for me, but I believe that's just a personal preference and I could see people really loving that about this place. That being said, our experience was less than great. Service seems a bit stressed. It took us about 30 mins of sitting before getting water or water glasses for instance. Not a big deal, water was delivered promptly after we requested it after we got our drinks. Overall the service was friendly and accommodating though. As far as food goes, we got some cheese curds and they were great. Our biggest issue with this place by far was the quality of the cocktails. I love craft cocktail bars and make a point of visiting a few every time I go to a new city. This place is marketing itself as a craft cocktail bar. The prices make this evident. Prices for cocktails ranged from ~$15 to ~$25. This is at the upper limit of what I see at other craft cocktail bars even in places like New York and San Francisco. It's okay to charge these prices, but you must deliver an authentic craft cocktail experience. The menu was a good start, small but with appealing drinks of all different styles. We ordered a stirred scotch drink for $16 and a stirred cognac drink for $18. I'll start with the cognac drink. They were out of pear liqueur and subbed in all spice dram. It was good, but much too sweet. Serving it in a smoking pipe style glass was gimmicky, but actually a very neat presentation pulled off well. I won't comment on this one anymore since they had to make a substitution. Now for the scotch drink. It has all spice dram and cacao bitters. This is the type of drink that should be very spirit forward (and was marketed as extra boozy). Therefore the quality of main spirit REALLY matters a lot. The first thing I noticed was the taste of bottom shelf scotch. My suspicions were confirmed when I was told they used Dewars white label to make it. This is a sub $25 bottle of scotch in a $16 stirred drink that should really feature a more premium scotch. Even Monkey Shoulder would have been fine. It makes a difference in a drink like this. The menu also implied some "oak smoke" of which there was no detectable amount of. This drink was also much sweeter than it should be. On a menu with ~10 drinks, the people ordering the stirred scotch drink do not want a sugar bomb. The presentation of this drink was also not up to par for a craft cocktail bar charging these prices. The glassware was nice, but the cocktail was not properly stirred/chilled. It was served with a rock candy stick, which was adding more sweetness to an already sweet drink. Worst of all was the tiny cloudy piece of ice in the class. A place that charges this much should have large clear cubes that fill out the glass. This small cube ensured that our cocktail was overdiluted and tasteless in a matter of minutes. I wouldn't be this critical if they weren't charging premium cocktail prices. But they are. I want to see this place succeed and they need to focus on the quality of the drinks to make that happen.

The specialty drinks are amazing. This is the place to go for drinks of any persuasion. We chose to sit a the bar. The bartender, Patrick, was knowledgeable about flavors, unique blends of alcohols, and the use of nonalcoholic and alcoholic based enhancers. The food was unique and flavorful. With the whimsical specialty glassware, the atmosphere was the cherry on top, really special. Overall a top notch experience. (gluten free friendly)

Being from New York, I wanted to experience a true speakeasy. If that is what you are looking for, I DO NOT recommend this place. The beginning of the experience was lackluster and then even with reservations we got a rude welcome. The menu was less than impressive and the service was even more disappointing. We were given two different menus, when asking which was correct, our server was rude. When asking for a different server due to our server being rude and absent, we were asked to leave. Very disappointed and honestly would never return. 10/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Drinks were amazing. We had a couple of the appetizers and they were OK but nothing special. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Good music and atmosphere.

Another awesome experience! This was my second time eating here, and it didn't disappoint. Friends introduced to the Lush Lounge a few months ago and we returned with another couple and we all had a wonderful time. The food and service are excellent and the cocktails are inventive and unique; even for us non-alcoholic drinkers with no alcohol rum which tasted like regular rum. Don't hesitate and make reservations.

Response to owner: That’s not our bill that you’ve pulled if it says what you’ve described. We didn’t have a Crimson & Clover or pomegranate margaritas. We had “Broken Promises” and “Chai Me to the Moon” for cocktails. Maybe they have new names? Maybe the itemized receipt breaks things down in a strange way? I don’t know, but I’m conveying what it looks like to your customers one way or another. It was very clearly marked $20 for additional “mixers.” We’ve tried calling via the number you gave, no answer. Also, we were told by a local about karaoke and told it’s usually a young crowd, so not sure what to tell you about that! He shared that info and we witnessed it.Original review: It has a decent vibe, I’ll give them that. The service was attentive. The crowd is young, but we didn’t mind as everyone was friendly. My husband tried a few of their cocktails and I had 2 different types of bourbon on the rocks. I’m rating low because we were definitely overcharged. The cocktails that are on the menu, that my husband consumed, had a fixed price. I had a $7 bourbon and then a $12 bourbon—yet we were up-charged $20+ for drink “mixers.” So, an ice cube costs $10 a piece? There was another fee too that I can’t remember the label. We’ve been to a lot of speakeasies and we wouldn’t bother going back here.

Food was disappointing, overpriced and not very tasty. The fries my date ordered came out ice cold, but we got some new ones. The drinks were very good, they had unique and your standard option for cocktails! The atmosphere was very cozy! Good date night spot to grab a few cocktails and enjoy live music, but wouldn’t recommend eating here.

On a whim one warm summer night, a friend and I checked out Lush Lounge, skeptical if it would live up to its name. It surpassed my expectations. This converted residential spot in Floyd is a beacon of what the #blueridgevalley offers. The owner, also our server, was welcoming, patient, and every order was show-stopping. Highly recommend this speakeasy for the best of the Blue Ridge. Check my Insta for more fun - can’t wait to see you there! ??‍♀️???XoXo

We Loved Lush lounge! The Atmosphere is spectacular! The drinks are delicious, creative and reasonably priced. Our party ordered and loved the Over a barrel (drink with smoke), the porcelain doll, the impeachment, the broken promises and the hot toddy that they light on fire (I can't recall its name) and loved them all. We didn't love the under the mistletoe. For appetizers we loved the MacNCheese bites and the French fries were fabulous. We didn't love the pimento cheese hushpuppies; they didn't have nearly enough pimento cheese. Our party ordered the Autumn pasta dish and the roast which we loved. We didn't love the Cheeseburger, the toppings were great, but the burger isn't able to be cooked medium because of how its prepared however they took it off our bill after we expressed our dissatisfaction. Overall we were thrilled with our experience and will absolutely return.
