Went there to visit the town and shop and loved it. Went back three times in a month and a half to bring family, and we live in Norfolk.

Best ice cream in the whole area! (Trust me, I've tried a bunch) I've never gotten anything else because I don't want to but they're ice cream is the very best. They make their own waffle cones and the cozy smell hits you as soon as you walk in the door! Absolutely delicious ? and it's in a cute little neighborhood to walk around with your cone afterwards (but they have plenty of seating too)

Parking: There's a Free parking lot across the street, if you can't find street parking

This place is a whole different experience. The food is great. They serve country food like beans and cornbread, greens or a bowl of chili. They have live music several nights a week and they have a Friday Night jamboree every week. There is live music and dancing The owners and all of the staff are super friendly. A really unique and fun experience.

We looked at the food and all the sandwiches and desserts looked yummy. We came for the Jamboree. The store has neat shopping and watching the musicians and mostly locals dancing was fun. tThey offer barrels of old time candy and fudges and baked goods. A unique place to visit.

Came here while Floyd Country Store next door was hosting a live music performance. They had a connecting door opened so you could go right between the two establishments.Good price for how many flavors and customizations they offer ($2.50 for a small ice cream cup, which is 1 large scoop). The only malt when I went was coffee flavored, so that was a bummer.

Floyd Country Store is a Fine Find Our family took a drive down to Floyd from Christiansburg on this Fourth of July to visit this little slice of Americana. The store is situated in the middle of its namesake town, Floyd, about a half an hour south of I-81. We went there for lunch and to take in what downtown Floyd had to offer. The store is a conglomeration of a sandwich shop, dessert shop, candy store, soda fountain, and an eclectic assortment of various merchandise. To top it all off, it turns into a live music venue on a weekly basis. That said, we were here for lunch and to shop around. While they do have an assortment of local comfort food, our crew opted for a few of their sandwiches, all of which were very tasty. I had the cran-turkey sandwich, which is a grilled turkey, cheese, onion, and cranberry sauce sandwich…very good tasting. We finished up with a couple of homemade desserts - key lime pie and apricot-almond cheesecake, plus a sampling from then ice cream shop. If you are in the general area, it is worth the visit.

This review is for the The Soda Fountain at the Floyd Country Store; not the restaurant/store. Ordered a medium cup of chocolate for $4.50 plus tax. Looked like only about 6-8 ice cream choices. The Chocolate was surprisingly plain; reminded me low priced bulk containers of ice cream in the supermarket. Was hoping for something less common, perhaps even unique; more in line with the personality of Floyd.

BEST ICE CREAM PLACE EVER! Honestly this is my favorite ice cream place! The cones are warm and soft when you get them but if you like the crunchy cones you wait like 5 minutes and they get crunchy. The ice cream is so creamy and delicious! I am definitely going again! The only con is that the line is SUPER long at lunchtime so definitely go a little early, but other then that it is GREAT!

Quant place and nice tables to enjoy your meal. My wife had a chicken salad and a cup of tomato bisque. The lettuce was like it was right out of the garden. The chicken salad on top was really good and not too much Mayonnaise. If this what you like, you will absolutely love it. Ony reason I did not give it a five star is it was a little pricey.
