East Express is a great place to enjoy well-cooked Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The owners and staff are extremely friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The portion sizes are well worth the price, and the food is some of the best in Lynchburg. This is my friends’ and my go-to spot whenever we’re hungry.

Food was good- my favorite lo mein I’ve had in Lynchburg. Maybe a little plain- but the most flavorful i’ve had in this area. The portions were also big. The only reason we gave 4 stars is the boba. The tapioca pearls were too hard and added a cinnamon-y/floral flavor to the tea that I did not like.

First time trying this restaurant. Very clean. People nice. We were a little disappointed going off the description on google about the restaurant that they served poke bowls. We didn't see many of the items that were pictured. However , the japanese inspired teriyaki meal was flavorful. We did not care much for the cheese wontons , lacking something. My husband had the Chinese Kung pao, chicken and which he was disappointed.The meal was small and lacked any kind of vegetables. Items are a little pricey but reasonable. If we were local , we may consider this place every now again , but wouldn't be our first choice. It was a very busy place with a lot of take out and pick up orders. Japanese inspired meals are cooked fresh , whereas the chinese meals were off a buffet bar.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I also appreciate when I placed a pickup order they waited until I got there to box it for me. It was fresh and warm by the time I got back to work instead of sitting out. Staff explained cheaper options for my next order and were very polite.

So I wasnt Chinese food fan growing up. Fast forward i start to like it general tso chicken my go to. Lately we tried two places on vacation. Not good ,bland food. The food at the local Chinese restaurant is way better. We decided to give other Chinese restaurants in the area a try. With that being said i seen a fb post about east express told the wife let's give it a shot. The building is the nicest I've seen this spot compared to the previous restaurants. general tso chicken isn't on the menu 😒 we tried the food anyway sharing our different meals. Wow flavors will blow you a way. They don't miss has to be the best Chinese around. The best I've ever had for sure. I hope this place last. I can't even recommend a dish the wife or I couldn't pick a favorite. Its all so good.

This was my first time here & the food /atmosphere was good. The lady at the register was very kind & helpful. I had got the Sweet Fire Chicken medium spicy. It was soo good. I will definitely be coming back here. I ate all of my food so I couldn’t really post a picture. The food is very affordable. It is also clean in here.

Only thing nice about this place was the young lady that served me. I wish I could have gave her a bigger tip. She was friendly. The food was AWFUL everything taste watered down. While the young lady was serving me the owner or cook whoever he is was watching her I guess making sure she doesn’t give me extra. Trust me sir I don’t want that mess. I will not spend my money there ever again.
