Last night my wife and I were finally able to try Gunny’s out. We ordered the wings and meatloaf. My meatloaf was amazing and the wings were so good we ordered more to take home. The beer selection is top notch compared to other places around town. Staff was super friendly, and will be forever customers here. Thanks Gunny’s for an amazing first experience with you all.

Judging by other reviews, we must have gone on a bad night. Food was dry and quite bland-- we ordered a burger, fish & chips, and poutine--soggy with dry cheese chunks. A bit too bright in there for a restaurant, and no background music/sound from TVs. Willing to give it another try, and will update my review if it was a fluke!

Just don't see $80.00. For a 5" sub and some muschy fries..onion ring at best came from sams club..we got a $50.00 mael for alittle over 80 bucks.. first and last time...will not be back..

Went there to try the Poutine. It was pretty good. Also, I got the fish and chips. That was not as impressive as the Poutine.

Great lunch, we had the 1/2 pound BLT and onion rings. Both were awesome. The service was great, friendly and quick.

Cute neighborhood tavern! We had excellent service and good food. Great comfort food. Try the grilled meatloaf if you're a meatloaf fan!

We came to Forest from NY for a wedding. After a 10 hour drive we were looking for quiet dining with a drink and good food. The fish and chips were overpriced and gross. The fries were good, but the fish was nasty…Full of grease and soggy. And the tartar sauce was disgusting. Atmosphere was extremely noisy. Full of noisy locals joining each other for a well deserved end of week gathering…. That I get and respect… but it’s not great for out of towners looking for a quiet retreat with good food. Would not recommend.

Loved their food, and their beer selection was probably the best of any restaurant in the area, but since the restaurant is a little small, it gets very loud in there.

Gem of an establishment. Had a great time visiting from out of town. Friendly staff. Great beer and whiskey selection and delicious fish and chips. I hope this place continues to do well!

Awesome food, drinks and service. Food fresh and prepared by A professional chef. A selection of beers and spirits like no other. A small gem amongst the rural area. A quiet and extremely pleasant experience.Definitely recommend if you're in the area
