The place was quiet for a Friday night, so I wasn't sure, but wow. I got the brisket Pho, it was amazing! You can taste all the flavors in the broth. So delicious! We will definitely return.
Best in Lynchburg! Won’t be going anywhere else after having the #13 today. Ate an entire large portion because I couldn’t stop. The broth is out of this world.
Best pho I’ve had outside of my home! Didn’t expect to have such a good, hearty broth, but they definitely brought that to the table. Been here twice and both times the food was amazing. The pho dac biet is excellent and the bun bo hue (spicy beef soup) too.
My wife and I have been going here once a week for a year. It is a true source of peace in our lives. The owner/cook hand makes the food and it is always delicious. The atmosphere may not be for everyone as there is no music, but we love it because it gives us a chance to put down our phones and just unwind. Thank you Pho 1!
Hands down the best Pho around! Stop here if you get a chance and give it a try!
Came here for takeout one night after work, was greeted promptly by a very nice gentleman. He handed me a menu. I placed my order and was told it would be ready within 10 minutes. I grabbed my order and came home. Much to my surprise my meat was raw in my pho I have never had that experience in my life and I can honestly say I cannot eat pho any other way anymore for delivery the meat was so tender and it was not overcooked like I’ve had it in the past at other restaurants. I will be back Thank you.
I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about but this place is phenomenal! I got their Chicken Pho + fried spring rolls. It's the best Pho I've had in Lynchburg!
It’s a Vietnamese restaurant but seems to be owned by a white guy and a Chinese lady (wife?) so it makes sense why it doesn’t taste authentic. Food was not good at all. The ingredients didn’t taste fresh or natural. The pho broth lacked depth and flavor beyond basic seasoning. The broken rice dish was just rice and cheaply seasoned pork, no veggies and just cheap tasting for being $15.Do not recommend at all.
After returning from vietnam it has been so hard to find authentic Vietnamese food. This spot is it! 10/10 would recommend. Great food, superb service and wonderful ambiance!
The staff was very kind and the food was delicious!
Restaurantji Recommends
So what you see below is my #54 & #58 (I think) they both smell amazing, so far I've started on my vermicelli, and it's super good!!! And I'm so stoked, my fried rice had veg in it like it should!!! I cannot understand why Asian restaurants in this area do not put veg in the fried rice. I've only seen this in Virginia. So I'm very happy. My daughter ordered a mi Tom, it looked amazing. Not sure how it tastes just yet. But I'm satisfied with it. Would definitely recommend.
I wanted pho& I got it. It was tasty& hit the spot. The rolls I got were crunchy& yummy. Visually..ehh.. HOWEVER I didn't choose to go there there for the looks of it- which I felt was in transition of change- I went for good pho. Side note..haha.. There is a mini side store with all sorts of interesting grocery items.
Their food taste good but I did not see the main ingredients listed in the menu the last time we were there. I felt being deceived. Plus, they don't served some food listed in their menu. Limited choices.
Pho 1 is SO good! The service is fast, friendly, and the food is amazing! Five stars!
Their spring rolls with shrimp are most delicious...also love the peanut sauce that comes with it
