I LOVE ROOKIE'S! Tragically, I live 2,443 miles away, but perhaps that's a good thing because I would be broke and my doctor would be pretty unhappy with my health. But truly, I love this place. I'm lactose intolerant when it comes to processed diary, personally, but I can eat Rookie's with no problem. I think because they get their milk from Homestead Creamery, a good (and local!) farm/source. They don't always have vegan/non-diary ice cream, from my experience, although they've made a lot of new changes, so maybe they do have it consistently now. But either way, their...

First timers who were staying in town with future Liberty University students and loved our experience at Rookies. Matthew was the most friendly person we had experienced in all of our trip. We got some recommendations and enjoyed warm cookies with creamy ice cream. This was a great once in a while treat and it looked like sometimes there are other food/drink trucks open. Though they were closed during our stay we could imagine how amazing it would be.
