The Wandering Donut

Had donuts from truck in Forest. They tasted days old…dry, frosting was hard and cracking and falling off, and they weren’t fluffy. Super disappointed! They used to be delicious.

Saturday morning in Forest Virginia. We got no other plan best lineup for this donut. It's irresistible , delicious,addictive. I like donuts. My favorite donut is strawberry and chocolate with sprinkles.

My wife and I live near the forest location. We like to walk all our dog on Saturday morning and pick up donuts. Three times we’ve arrived there before 9am. Three times they said they were out of donuts due to online orders. We could see hundreds of donuts in their trailer. They only care for the online orderers. The walk up customer should come first as it should be first come first serve. We’ve walked over three miles for no donuts. Thankfully, they aren’t that great for a $2.25 donut.

I don't know if it's the change in ownership, or what ...But we picked up donuts from the truck last Thursday morning and they were hard and stale - obviously not freshly made that day. ?We had been expecting the same quality from this truck we had previously when the doughnuts were soft, light, fresh-tasting...and sometimes still WARM!My daughter tells me the truck doesn't open on Wednesdays, so maybe they're busy making doughnuts for the next day. How very sad. Anyone who knows anything about doughnuts knows they need to be FRESH. They're not much good day-old (I suppose they're still edible when they're packed with preservatives, but if I wanted that, I'd buy them from Walmart and pay a lot less!)So, Buyer Beware: Don't get your doughnuts on Thursdays!! (assuming that's the only day they're selling old doughnuts).

It was incredible! The ladies were kind to me and my boys. The food was great!

I drove 40 minutes at 7am on a Friday to get a donut for my wife for her birthday. They weren’t open even though their hours said differently. Brutal. They truly are the wandering donut. Who knows where they’ll be.

This was honestly the best donut of my life.

I ordered a dozen donuts for breakfast with the family. I didn't pre-order, I just showed up and ordered. They were very quick, even with how busy they were. The prices are reasonable, and the donuts are hot, fresh, and delicious. If you find yourself passing their trailer, it's worth a stop. If you aren't passing their trailer, it's worth a dedicated trip.
