We are from out of town and totally enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious and the beer choices plentiful. The service was excellent.

As an employee of a restaurant, this is the most coolest place I have ever seen. There are some setbacks that I would want to know in statement 3. I would have a good 5 star (look at 1.) Server was nice.

1. I flagged down a waiter for another coke and never came back with it. I had to watch another 10 minutes for our waiter to come to take our orders to get another coke.
2. The atmosphere was good friendly staff overall.
3. I don't know what the standards are, but the waiter didn't take the menus back. If the rules are to leave the menus on the tables, that's fine. Just wanted to know what's the standards for that are.
4.The food was good. Almost like the one at my restaurant job.

Overall really good place to go to when visiting Virginia or you live in the area.

We had a lovely lunch here (with our dog) . There is a GREAT outdoor space - tented & picnic tables with table service ❤️ The beer varieties will alllow for pallets of all persuasions. And there are vegetarian options on the menu ❤️ #WillBeBack ❤️ #HighlyRecommend 😁 A very nice place to decompress a little if you are traveling through on a #RoadTrip

We took friends there this week expecting a fine meal but it was just the opposite! We all were so very dissapointed!! First off, the food took forever to come out and second, the appetizers came out after the main course. My husband's and guests fish was burned, we couldn't figure out the clam chowder, wether it was new England or Manhattan, a and the birthday boys Ruben had very little corned beef. His bread looked like pumpernicle and not rye. My salad was OK. You can't do much to screw that up! Overall, we were VERY VERY disappointed! I hope they get their act together, because it once was a sight to go to

Great local place to eat and drink beer that is brewed in house. Always excellent service.

We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our son and his wife after they were married in January in Kentucky!
Laura was amazing, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of.
Our servers were professional, courteous and so friendly everyone had a drink in their hand and a smile on their face.
The food was delicious and served on time.
Highly recommend 6 Bears and a Goat for get togethers, family reunions, office meetings, etc, you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic veteran owned brewery. Friendly staff, great food, and most importantly great drinks. We also appreciated that the location was in a quiet spot where we could have a nice meal outside in the covered patio area. A great stop if you’re driving by and need to make a pit stop for a meal. We got the goat cheese salad, buffalo chicken sandwich, and for drinks, the “Sluggin’ Gus” and the “Czechmate”. The food hit the spot and the beers were phenomenal. Sluggin’ Gus was a perfect fruity blonde ale and the Czechmate was a refreshing lager with great flavor. Perfect for a hot day.

Many breweries have great beer, great space, but food is just... ok - not at 6B1G. The cheesesteak was AWESOME and HUGE. I dont usually like to split food but my husband and I shared a full cheesesteak with fries and added a side salad. It was plenty of food. My young children got mac and cheese and grilled cheese respectively, and both came with fruit bowls that I've never seen matched anywhere. They were so nice! Connor, our server, was super kind and attentive, and a manager came by to say hi and see how we were on an early Saturday evening. This place is kid friendly and dog friendly, and live music started at 6pm. I had a Hazy IPA that was flavorful and somehow managed to be light and refreshing. Hope to be back!

We went to 6B&1G for a Father's Day Brunch. It was crowded, but we were seated after about 30 minutes (no biggie). We ordered drinks, which were promptly brought out. We ordered our food and then waited...and waited...and waited (almost 2 hours). At the 1.5 hour mark we started asking our server, then saw a family who arrived AFTER us served, and finished while we were still waiting. Either the order was lost of there minimal staffing in the kitchen for a large Sunday brunch (I suspect the latter). The owners need to address this. They are losing money, and even worse, they are killing staff morale. We weren't the only ones with epic wait times either. The front staff was doing their best, but if the food isn't moving there's not much they can do. Our dishes tasted good, but by then it didn't matter. Until management addresses the staffing issue I would highly recommend NOT going to Six Bears and a Goat on the weekends.

Ray is the reason you’ll keep coming back to 3 Bears and a Goat.

The man’s not just a cook — he’s a culinary magician. Every dish that comes out of that kitchen has flavor, soul, and consistency written all over it. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or whatever masterpiece he’s throwing down that day, Ray makes it taste like it was cooked just for you.

He doesn’t just cook — he cares. And you can taste that in every bite. If you haven’t had something made by Ray yet, you’re missing the heart of the whole place.

Beer was good but I’ll let my picture of their version of a patty melt speak for itself. The waitress was very nice and did give a discount because we waited for over 30 mins for our two entrees, so kudos to her. Worst patty melt I’ve ever had.
