Baba Ganoush Mediterranean Grill

First time here. I’d rate the food a 9 out of 10 with the overall experience being a 7 out of 10.

This restaurant is meant for the covert foodie, someone who prefers a low-key dining or take out experience. The location is quiet and unobtrusive, almost as if you’ve walked into your friend’s kitchen to grab a snack. Not birthday party friendly, too quiet.

I tried the chicken shawarma plate with hummus and naan. Perfect texture, high quality and very fresh. Mystery sauces were good. Portion size is solid especially with sides and there are several options to choose from. Will be back for the hummus.

I had the lamb gyro, the flavor was bland at most. Nothing terrible, just not what Mediterranean food should be. Maybe the Indian food here is better? Seems like they should stick to whatever they are good at.

The lamb shawarma wasn’t even real shawarma! They just threw in some lamb kebabs with a few onions and packaged it. Total waste of money. These people seriously need to learn how to make proper lamb shawarma.

This is one of the best places my fiancee and I have eaten at in a long time. The food was flavorful, plentiful, and cooked perfectly. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and decorated well; you can tell they really care about their service. They even brought us some free extra rice and curry during our meal 😅. Definitely one of our regular spots from now on.

Chicken biriyani is delicious but they decreased the portion by half while keeping the same price

Chicken was undercooked and chewy. The naan was way too doughy. The worst part about this is, there was literally no one in the restaurant, so I don’t understand why it was rushed.

Went in to get dinner tonight at one of my favorite local spots to unwind after a bad day. Decent price for the quality, service is usually fast. Weekend hours on the door oddly said 11-0, but the sign said open. The second I opened the door the lady behind the counter immediately and aggressively chewed me out and said they're closing in 10 minutes and that if I want anything I'd have to come back tomorrow.
1) its not my fault the hours aren't clear on the door, i probably wouldn't have went in if I saw that
2) Even though it sucks, It's still your job to serve food until you're closed. 10 minutes before closing is still open.

Won't be tipping there again anytime soon. I don't care if tips are split 90 ways, she doesn't deserve a dime of my money.

I went there at 11 am for the first time today. I noticed the tables were dirty, but figured someone would be out soon to clean them. The nice lady behind the counter helped me place my order, then the cash register didnt work. She told me to pay when my food was ready and she could get the register working again. I waited a while. Waited some more. I walked over to some shelves with pre-packed items and picked one up. It was nasty. Some substance stuck to my hands. I tried another and found they were all heavy with something sticky. There was no health department rating posted on the wall. I Asked the lady about the HD rating and she blew me off.
I told her about how nasty the items on the shelves were. She said it was from oil in the air. If this is true, those bags were there for years and never cleaned. I left. Not ever eating anything from there.

Disgusting. Went here for the first time for lunch, with decent expectations. I was very disappointed. Sticky floor, impolite staff and a COCKROACH ON THE TABLE. 0% chance that I’ll return.

Have been coming here for years when i’m in the area and it’s always delicious food with great service. From the falafel to the curry to the gyro bowls and samosas, everything here is tastefully crafted with care.

Absolutely the best food. I always come here for lunch when I have work in Fredericksburg.
