Battlefield Restaurant

My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new and support small. I remember a friend Tony always posting all the good food and heart they put into everything. We passed it and I told James we should try this place! It did not disappoint. Tony was our server and explained all the specials. I wanted everything 🤣 He did sell me on the grilled cheese breakfast sandwich. James had an omelet and the customized it to what he wanted. Everything was delicious. When I remembered to take a picture, our plates were empty. We left full and our pockets were not emptied for once. Thank you Tony for making us feel welcomed and having food we actually enjoyed for once. We are use to paying so much for ok food. We will be back!!

Cute established place. Our first time there so hopeful and hungry. We were seated and 15-20 minite wait ensued. Hubby and I were eager to sample their food and our eyes scanned over the whole room.
So much memorabilia and cool thing to look at. I ordered the liver and onions. Came with two sides, so cut buttery corn and sweet coleslaw.
I was disappointed to say the least. Liver was tough and no flavor, sole a was bitter, I couldn't eat it and still paid for it.

My first experience here and I can’t wait to go back. The ambiance was fantastic, the food phenomenal, I had the best BLT of my life, and whatever the playlist is never change it!! Banger after banger. The star of the show though was our server Cindy!! Excellent service, attentive, smile plastered to her face even though they were so busy. Thank you battlefield restaurant <3

Cozy country cafe located across the street from Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor’s Center. The pancakes and Biscuits and Gravy were excellent! My server, Cindy was nice and friendly. Prices were great for how much food you get!

About 15 tables in the restaurant and 3 tables outside. There is about 10 seats at the counter. They have a breakfast and lunch/dinner menu. We enjoy going for breakfast. They a gaint pa cake that can feed 4 poeple or you try and solo it. Wonderful and friendly staff. They get very busy on the weekend. It is a good idea to call ahead and see if you need to put your name on the wait list.

Fabulous brownie pancakes. I had silver dollar size and they were bigger than my regular size pancakes that I make for my family. Can’t wait to have peach pancakes when they come out.

We've visiting a few times for breakfast and are always impressed with the portions of our meal. Only thing we'd like to suggest is some upgrades to the bathrooms and a different choice in music. Our server TJ was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and price can't be beat.

As good as home cooked as you will find. The owner came out to every table & had a truly heartfelt conversation. Fresh biscuits, hand carved ham & great coffee. If you are looking for a great breakfast, generous serving & warm hospitality, this is the place to go.

A hidden gem. You have to try the pancakes when you go! I love the atmosphere. Just a heads up this is a very small restaurant and parking and seating may be limited.

Great casual dinner atmosphere with a great view of the battlefield park. Right across from the visitors center. Pancakes are HUGE, light and fluffy.
