The only Italian restaurant in the area I have been to where garlic is actually put in the marinara. Incredible.

Bello Manzo was my final destination & end to a beautiful day in downtown Fredricksburg, Virginia. My husband came to Bello to eat by himself and I met up with him later after seeing some shops. He raved how delicious the food was and was finishing his dessert of tiramisu. He never orders a dessert especially after eating an appetizer and meatball sandwich at Bello Manzo. I was still full from an early brunch and ordered their chilled dry white wine from Italy and Diet Pepsi with ice water. Our server was very nice and professional. She refilled my Diet Pepsi several times without prompting and noticed how quickly I drank each glass she refilled. This restaurant was a nice place to rest and take a break from a long hot day of window shopping and walking. I liked how clean the place was and the menu items. Local art and paintings were displayed in the restaurant for sale.
My husband got me an iced Diet Pepsi to go after paying the bill. Before we left , one of the ladies eating there recommended the semi sweet sparkling cava white wine to me. I made a mental note to try it next time we go there.

What a find. It is our annual birthday weekend for my oldest daughter and my wife. We normally find a new place to tryout each year. We were blown away this year at Bello Manzo. We started with the Arancini. Just excellent. We decided to try a number of other appetizers and each one was just great. We then split the Italian beef sandwich. No better one can be found even in Chicago. Thank you for a wonderful lunch. We had a great time but realized we at too much and needed a nap.

We kicked things off with the arancini and Brussels sprouts — and that’s about where the excitement ended. The Brussels sprouts were basically tiny, burnt cabbages with zero flavor. Like, did the salt and pepper call in sick? As for the arancini, these were just sad little fried mozzarella balls trying to pass as something fancy.
On to the mains: my mom’s chicken parm tasted like it time-traveled straight from a Stouffer’s box, and my dad’s spaghetti and meatballs was just as questionable. My own dish was okay — not offensive, just forgettable, like a movie you watch on a plane and instantly erase from memory.
After reading so many glowing reviews, I came in with high hopes. I left with low spirits and a strong craving for real Italian food. I can only assume the people raving about this place have never met an actual Italian grandma. Spoiler alert: she doesn’t work here!

Our family stopped here for dinner Aug15 and couldn't believe how incredible this restaurant was. We had the spaghetti and meat balls, chicken parm, and Manza Pasta and they were all fantastic. The sauces were all home made with flavours you just don't find anywhere. They were rich, authentic and delicious and while I didn't actually lick the plate, I didn't leave a lot for the dishwasher.
We will be back again and again.
Thank you for making our family's night out so memorable.
