Hugely disappointed with the brisket mac and cheese. Waitress said they were out of brisket so we substituted pork. She then said she managed to get some. The food came very small and only scraps of brisket apparently mixed in. Shouldve sent it back.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Drove from Pittsburgh for dinner any was not disappointed!
3/5 is what I would give it….first time we tried it a year ago and couldn’t get service. We tried brunch today and even though they had several people you could see that worked there primarily only Brandon did any work for the first hour. Brandon took care of the 5 tables in the outdoor seating. One girl wiped 4 seats and tables of pollen then left. Another girl was drinking her coffee. Another guy made a pitcher for a customer that just walked in when 5 tables 30 minutes in were still waiting on their drinks and food orders to be taken. The bar seats were covered still in pollen. One brunch menu given to only 2 people 🤦♀️🤣 The menus had stains and were sticky. There is black mold all over the outdoor canopy. The napkin dispensers were dirty. We got the $13 Bloody Mary’s which were good but the slider was cold and a bit dry and so was the rib that came on it. I got the brisket sandwich and Mac and cheese which were good. My husband got the tacos which he liked. The coke was flat, no paper towels in the ladies bathroom and cobwebs on the mirror. The food is good, the lack of help from those there was not ok…Brandon did the best he could so thanks Brandon! Management needs to have better training, better coverage, and better cleaning. I’m in no rush to go back. Perhaps take out. It’s sad as it’s a beautiful old building and outdoor area has so much potential. You were not prepared to have brunch.
Nice place in an old house very neat. BBQ I am use to NC but they tried, it’s good and tasty. Tried the 2 platter and the skillet (plastic looks like cast-iron) interesting place very relaxing.

Excellent pulled chicken and brisket. Green beans are peppery and very tasty. Cornbread was a little dry but very tasty. Cool interior of an old home.

Such a cute restaurant with lots of charm. We were with a large group. Our 8 were seated first and after an hour, we still didn’t have our food. The waitress brought our food in to go containers. A person in our group ordered BBQ nachos and only got chips. Again, the food we saw go by looked delicious and most had efficient servers and got their food pretty quickly.

I recently visited Billiken's Smokehouse based on a recommendation from my neighbor, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We paid $65 for our meal, which was absolutely not worth it. We arrived around 2 PM when the restaurant wasn't busy, but despite that, service was lackluster. Our server never brought us water until we asked twice. My boyfriend ordered a drink from the bar that didn’t arrive until we were nearly finished with our meal.
The only thing we really enjoyed was the smoked Brie, which came out quickly and tasted good. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was a letdown. I ordered sausage, but it was served lukewarm, and my boyfriend's brisket and pulled pork were also lacking flavor and temperature. The sauces at the table seemed like a basic mix of ketchup and brown sugar – nothing special.
Our server rarely checked on us, and we never got a refill of water. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we won't be returning. First and last time at Billiken’s Smokehouse.

Really cool spot, I wish I could’ve just walked around the whole historical home this place is in!
We got the brisket plate and the smoked sausage plate. Both were delish + decent sides. The highlight for me was 100% the loaded cornbread skillet. Trust and believe I’ll be getting that again when I come back!
