Weird experience for us. Entrance smelled like cigarettes. Was told people are allowed to smoke on patio which lofts into entrance. Cocktails were not good. Waitress spilled bread oil all over one of us, food was average, weird over the top dramatic dessert presentation. Just not great overall.

Went here for our 35th anniversary tonight. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and we'll wishes for our special day. The food was PHENOMENAL and the service by Alissa was equally grand! We will definitely be back for all of our special occasions! Thank you Brocks for a memorable evening!

We enjoyed Thanksgiving at Brock’s once again this year. As always, the food was delicious and the service was great!

However, we were surprised by the upcharges not mentioned by our servers. We were charged $1.00 for extra gravy served with one of our meals. A different price was charged for two extra containers of gravy to take home, $1.75 each; inconsistent pricing. And, a 2.99% surcharge for using a credit card. We understand that this is standard practice these days for some businesses. But, we feel it should have been noted somewhere in the establishment and/or on the menu. We don’t recall seeing a surcharge notice anywhere.

We went for appetizers in the bar area. 3 out of 4 were really good, however the Jalapeño, corn, crab, hush puppies were the worst appetizer I’ve ever eaten. No sign of anything in them but the plain unseasoned crab meat. Over cooked as well. The waitress didn’t come back to see if we needed anything else until handing us our check.

Very upset by my experience at Brock’s. Came in with two other friends and we sat at the inside bar for a drink and apps. Wanted to be at the outside bar area but it was so heavy with smoke we could not. Ordered an old fashion and it was so small I had to have them put club soda in it. Ordered the shrimp creole appetizer for the three of us and when it came out there were three tiny pieces of baguette to go with our shrimp creole dip. I knew right away we needed more bread and asked for more. Bartender said ok but failed to tell me I was going to be charged for it. Bill came and I was charged $2 for extra bread and I used my credit card and was charged a fee for using my card. Spoke with the manager on duty and she could have cared less and did nothing.

This place charges you for whatever they can from their customers. Very greedy and uncaring and I won’t come back. Many other places in Fredericksburg that appreciate you and do not do this. Do not recommend this place!

I met some friends here for lunch. We sat in the Chef's Dining Room that overlooks the river. It's comfortable, nicely decorated inside, the service is great & the food is excellent. Prices are on the slightly higher side, even for lunch. We come here on special occasions, or when we want to treat ourselves. It's a fun place to come in the evenings, too. They've got several outdoor decks, both open & enclosed, with heat when it's cool. There are indoor & outdoor bars & I believe that they also larger rooms for events. I'd definitely recommend it.

Vegetarian options: It's a nice place to go. We often see eagles on the banks of the river. You can also see the railroad bridge that leads to the nearby historic train station, which is now a restaurant.

Dietary restrictions: They offer a selection of gluten-free items. There are several vegetarian options. All are clearly marked.

Parking: This would be okay for families, but in my opinion, it is geared more toward adult patrons.

Kid-friendliness: We've dined here when families are dining here. I believe that they've got a kids' menu. The staff here are very nice & definitely cater to the needs of those being served.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicapped parking spaces, including those to accommodate vans and/or wheelchair lifts. They've recently redone their parking lot & the spaces tend to be tighter than they were previously, which could make it more difficult for those with specialized mobility needs.
