I bought their holiday gift cards for 50.00 and got a 10.00 gift card free. However, when I used the 10.00 gift card, I only used 6.00. They refused to give me another gift card for the 4.00 difference, claiming I had used up my 'free' meal. I even called the corporate office and they refused to give me a credit for the 4.00. I am a man of principles. It was a free 10.00 gift card, not a free meal card. To this day they still owe me 4.00 since this past Christmas. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS FOLKS. !!! Notice in the response that they blame me for my 'misunderstanding' . No. It was not my misunderstanding whatsoever. It was misleading from the word go. It is supposed to be 10 dollars bonus bucks, not 6 dollars!!! A buyer of the 50 dollar gift card doesn't learn of the' conditions' until he gets the receipt which contains the bonus bucks and he must now get a magnifying glass to learn this, or he finds it out when he uses it, that he has been duped. Its more widely known as Bait and Switch. Please provide the persons name who is the President of Country Cookin, including email address and phone number !!

I stopped in at this Country Cookin Buffet in Fredericksburg Virginia today coming from Buckingham County Virginia heading back to Baltimore Maryland and I told my wife we're gonna go eat and I look this place up and I found it the food was delicious my waiter she was awesome she came to the table a couple of times and that's what I like but those fried apples and the potatoes everything was delicious I would have to give them a five star ......Vernon Jackson

I've been here many times growing up and never had an issue. I came back to town to see family for the holiday and it was absolutely TERRIBLE. We came in a little before 7 and they were already putting chairs up on tables (they close at 9). We were sat immediately, took our drink order, and then we ordered when she brought our beverages. We didn't get our food until just before 8p. I ordered a wrangler steak, medium. It was a good 80% fat. I requested a new one. Before she came with a new steak, she took my old one back saying "they want to see it for some reason." Fine with me. I didn't eat it. She brought out my fresh one (as pictured). It was less than medium and cold in spots, but everyone was already done eating, so instead of sending it back to be cooked more, I asked for a box and heated it at home later. Not once did a manager speak to me about my experience. While waiting I watched the staff mingle in the back on their phones. The one in charge of the salad bar kept it clean, however I watched him touch is hat, tables, rags, his phone, AirPods, etc and back to the food all without changing his gloves. Incredibly disappointed at what this place has become.

* EAT HERE * If you're looking for a buffet with great tasting food, great service Nice Choice ! My family and I went here for Thanksgiving this year(2019). Our first time was a Great Decision made, ironically enough it was their first time serving Thanksgiving dinner. The food selections were good . Could have been a more selecton of meats, the yams were utterly amazing !!! What they didn't have, was made up for in the customer service. Even the manager come out to make sure everyone was ok. Overall Great Restaurant and I will be going back !

Delicious comfort food. All you can eat buffet with salad bar, vegetables and a dessert bar. Homemade roll and honey butter are amazing! Order an entree and the bar comes free with it. I personally fill up on the bar alone. One of my favorite places to go. Especially if you like a quiet family atmosphere.
I give this a one-star because our server was very nice. Five different meals were purchased not one was palatable. Everything was previously Frozen and deep fried. Smoke from smoking area outside was billowing in under the window at our table

Not a bad little spot if you are looking for something quick and easy. Food is decent and staff are very polite. Restaurant is clean and not to crowded. I personally prefer the breakfast and brunch to their dinner options but that's just me.

So the two stars had nothing to do with the food. The food is as tasty as always.... The service though???? Leaves much to be desired. Our servers name was Ryley (probably spelled it wrong). She has just about the poorest customer service skills I've ever seen in my life. I'm a server myself and was very disappointed. We had to ask 4 times for refills, and after the last time we asked she rolled her eyes. Ummmm excuse me? We sat with dirty dishes on our table the entire time, I could see if it was busy, that's not acceptable but understandable. She had a friend's parents come in and sit at a booth across from us, and it was then that we were forgotten about. She spent all her time talking to them and neglecting her other tables (she had about 4) the first time we came everything was great. I'm just a stickler about having good customer service skills, I don't know if she was just having an off day, or if that's how she is all the time. Either way I was disappointed. Like I said food was great, especially the biscuits and gravy! Keep up the great food!!!! We will return, just will definitely ask for anyone but Ryley.
