Wonderful joint
We hadn't been to Dickeys in a few months because we thought they had gotten rid of the tanglers and turkey. However we were pleasantly surprised when they told us those options are back!
Food quality was great and am looking forward to going back.
Parking: Parking is right out front, plenty of room, never had any trouble parking.

I ordered a catering pick up for 20 late the afternoon prior to the event. James, Melinda and their staff handled it flawlessly, the food was delicious sauces were on point. I will highly recommend this establishment, The best in Fredericksburg so far and I have lived here for over twenty years.

The pulled pork is great, however the chopped brisket was super salty and so were the green beans. The backed potato casserole was DELICIOUS. I might go in and eat next time rather than DoorDash but I’m definitely going back for that pulled pork!

I have visited this Dickey's BBQ location at Southpoint atleast a dozen times & every time the food was great. I've only had the pulled pork sandwiches and sides so I can't say how everything else is. The pulled pork sandwiches were really tender, juicy & flavorful. There is a self-serve condiment bar that you can get whatever kind of BBQ sauce you like. The Mac & Cheese isn't the best, but it's ok. The beans, Cole slaw & potato salad are all good. However the cornbread muffins are amazing! We usually get a dozen & take the rest home.

We have visited over 100 barbecue joints across the country in this dickey’s barbecue pit location among the worst we have experienced. While, the food is reasonably priced, The value for your money is very low as the food quality and serving size is very poor. The barbecue has very little flavor and is low quality meat. What we ordered: two meat platter with “brisket”, sausage, and okra, and Mac and cheese. Pulled pork sandwichPulled pork: lacked all flavor and was quite watery.Brisket: of all the meats the brisket had the most flavor; however, the serving portion was very small with two small slices of brisket, counting as a meat. Even worse, the brisket crawl was very low as the brisket was very fatty.Jalapeño cheddar sausage: in line with the rest of the meets, this was very low quality sausage. The texture was very grainy and it disintegrated in your mouth. Well, the jalapeño cheddar flavor was quite good. The sausage had a strange wacky, shimmer, and green brown discolorationOkra: the okra was the star of the visit, well fried and a generous servingMac & cheese: the mac & cheese was very low quality, grainy, and artificial. It tasted like very low and cafeteria style mac & cheese and I would not recommend.Soft drinks: the majority of the soft drinks were out of syrup and the few that worked had very light syrup applied.Service and atmosphere: the restaurant itself looks very nice and clean however, when you’re checking out and waiting for your food, you get a glimpse behind the counter and you can see the “kitchen” And serving area. It appears many of the spices and toppings are great value brandOverall: I cannot recommend visiting here. It is well worth a couple extra dollars for a much higher quality barbecue experience.

Other than waiting a bit to order, the food and service was amazing. Went here for Mother’s Day and it was definitely worth the wait and very delicious.

The barbecue is ok. It’s not cooked in house.Kids meal size proportions, but very inexpensive. You get what you pay for. The staff acts like the would rather be anywhere else. And treat you like an intruder. It’s basically the McDonalds of barbecue.
