Fish N' Grill

No mashed potatoes is outrageous 😂 can’t give a good review because I didn’t eat here yet but the no mashed potatoes while having other potato dishes told me all I needed to know lol

I've eaten there twice for lunch (October 2025). We got there a little early but we're seated promptly.
I had the Po Boy sandwich (both the shrimp version and the oyster version), fries and cole slaw.
The fries were very good and the slaw was excellent, containing some green parts of the cabbage as well as carrot bits with an excellent dressing that's not overly creamy.
The shrimp Po Boy was excellent and the Oyster was superb. I would recommend it highly.
The wait staff is highly professional, indicative of service received at very top shelf restaurants.
It's an excellent place to get lunch.

Two words: not good. Honestly, the best thing we had was the iced tea. The server was very friendly, the atmosphere was good, but we started our by ordering calamari. It was like eating rubber. Very chewy. But sure if the cooked it too long, but touch pieces and extremely chewy. We then ordered the shrimp tacos thinking that was a sure thing, but sorry, that was wrong. The shrimp were good but the cabbage slaw that came in the taco was vinegar tasting and soggy, loads of liquid poured out when picked up to take a bite. We just picked the shrimp out and left everything else. We were just done at that point. Hope their other options are better but we won't be back to find out.

Just had the most amazing meal! Everything we ordered was so good the mac and cheese was sooo cheesy, the side dishes were amazing, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and the fish and chips were made fresh and absolutely perfect. Grilled scallops and fried oysters were Soo delicious.
Someone suggested this restaurant to me, and honestly… OMG, why did no one introduce me to this place before?! The food and the interior are just wonderful. Definitely coming back again!

TEACHABLE MOMENT. If you have a large party (12) PLEASE go to the website or call in advance for capacity. Me and my guest arrived and the staff was extremely rude. One host ( who handles seating) rolled her eyes, and showed extreme displeasure as I saw her complaining to other severs.
I had to fill out a form, then said I had only 2 hours to dine without being charged ( by the way the food came an hour and twenty minutes later; giving us 35 minutes to eat).
The manager was invisible.
Our server was AWESOME.
She could teach the manager and her co workers on exceptional customer service for frustrated customers.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I really enjoyed my visit to Fish N Grill! The seafood was absolutely deliciouseverything we tried was so yummy, and my kids just loved the food too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciated how clean the place was. I noticed they kept tidying up and making sure every section was spotless, which made the experience even better. Had a great time with my family here and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

I really had a great experience at Fish N Grill! The restaurant is very very very clean..and the vibe is so welcoming and comfortable. The fish and chips and grilled salmon with rice were Soo delicious, and the staff was friendly. I liked the banana pudding. It was tasty, though a little sweet for my husband. Overall, this is definitely a spot we will be coming back to. Best seafood in Fredericksburg VA. They also have a party room with beautiful decor inside.

I have been patronizing this restaurant since they opened. Service and food has been consistently great. My opinion has changed however after a recent post. It was reported that someone had spit in takeout containers and the police was called. The father in the group, a veteran was disrespected. A picture was posted of containers and the mgn as reported agreed with complaint by customer. If the complaint is valid, this is nasty and should have been reported to the health department.
Apparently, the original owners have sold the restaurant to new owners.
I regret it if true what occurred, then I don't feel comfortable eating there anymore!
