This was a delightful Korean bbq restaurant. The meats were good (highly recommend the marinated steak) and the sides were plentiful. I got the AB pricing and it was definitely worth it.My waiter was Amade/Imade and he was great. Very prompt and pleasant.

delicious food and atmosphere. not nearly so loud as similar establishments.makes me mourn the Korean population crisis. the world must work quickly to solve this great tragedy so that Korean food and entertainment shall not perish from this earth.

The interior is really cool with a lot of Korean details. The food: It's alright. I mean it's the only one in FXBG, but the food was too sweet/salty. Definitely catering to more uncultured pple who are new to this kind of food/experience. and ala carte pricing is not worth the portions served imo. Could be better, maybe will try again.

//Updated to 5/5 stars as the suggestions below have been implemented.Have been here twice and had an excellent meal each time.First was opening day where there were some initial issues such as insufficient condiment bottles and cooked rice shortage. Our server David was very apologetic and we were understanding on opening day issues. 5/5 for David's service. The restaurant had corrected those issues on our second trip a week later with condiment bottles and cooked rice ready to go for each table. There were also more sides available the second time such as radish (daikon). Our server, Oliver, was very attentive to our orders and provided excellent service throughout the meal, 5/5 for Oliver's service.Food 4/5Having a gluten allergy, it would be nice to have a menu with dietary restrictions labelled. Even better would be to have additional information under the item listing what is in the marinade. As a precaution, I always ask if a selection is marinated as most soy sauce in the US use wheat instead of soy.Our first meal had thin pork belly sliced very thin, however our second trip, the same item had become twice as thick. The original thinner cut of pork belly cooked and tasted much better. We would likely not order this dish again unless it returns to the original cut.The corn cheese dish was on par as the cheese used did not compliment very well. Our personal preference is mozzarella over the cheddar they used in the dish. The steamed egg was also on par as it had a saltier taste than expected. We suspect there was a bit of soy sauce incorporated, which as mentioned above, limits me from eating it.Additional items we would like to see added to the menu:Miso pork belly, gochujang dipping sauce, mashed potatoes.Exterior Appearance 5/5The restaurant is clearly labelled and easy to find despite being tucked away a bit.Cleanliness 4/5Some of the dishes had slight residue left over, but we requested new ones.Atmosphere 5/5Unlike other KBBQ restaurants that blast music loudly, Gogi Go maintains the music volume to a manageable level for a pleasant conversation.Staff service other than servers 5/5The support and admin staff were cordial and very welcoming to customers, us included. All the staff humored us with our banter during our arrival and throughout the meal.Price 4/5Compared to other KBBQ restaurants, the price per person is slightly higher than I would expect in this area. The KBBQ restaurants up north, particularly in Annandale, are priced around the same despite being a higher cost area.Overall, we would continue coming here.Parking: Parking lot occupancy depends on the day and time, but overall can find parking.

Food is OK for being the only Korean restaurant in FXBG. Low score on food because we were served yesterday rice and odeng. Rice is highly important in Korean culture and I was very disappointed trying to scrab hard rice from the corners.

This place is better than I expected. I've been to a handful of Korean BBQ restaurants over a decade long, good and bad. This is definitely one of the best! The food was good and the prices were fair. Our server was really good and it was only his 2nd day. It showed me they have good training. They seem very attentive there and it looks like everybody has everybody else's back there. The only slightly off putting part was when a possible manager was just standing by staring. I'm not sure the reason. Maybe waiting to see if the cover needed to be replaced or to see if we were sharing (we all got the same order) but it felt a little uncomfortable only because he didn't even smile. I kinda get it. You're working and focused on your job BUT this is a type of place where customers are spending good money so maybe a smile or nod would work. The ambiance was really great other than that. The place is clean and it seemed like everybody was enjoying their time there. I was very glad that the Japanese place across the street had a very long wait because I almost forgot about this place after seeing it when it first opened. I would be very surprised if this establishment doesn't make a lot of business. I absolutely consider it a hidden gem, and yes, it's kind of hidden considering how close it is to Plank Road. I'll definitely be returning!

This place is great. I went once before at grand opening and again recently, and I'm happy to say that they've really advanced this place significantly. Meat is solid, marinated items are very tender. Banchan were delicious, now with numerous options instead of just kimchi and two others. Service was excellent. Ventilation is excellent - I didn't smell like meat at all when I left. They've also expanded their veggie sides so you don't have to be miserable with meat sweats by the end of the meal. This is not the greatest KBBQ ever, but it's one of the best all-you-can-eat KBBQs I've experienced on either coast. Really happy to have this place in Fredericksburg.

This was our first time eating Korean bbq and we found it to be delicious and plentiful. As a party of 3 we tried 12 different meats and cooked and consumed within an hour. All the condiments tasted great and fresh and the sides were yummy too. We will definitely be back as the food and service was great and the servers attentive.

We had an incident occur that the managers rectified instantly. They were very apologetic and accommodated us accordingly. When we returned it seems they implemented new training techniques for the servers so that the experience is pleasent and smooth. The kimchi is out of this world, the service was top notch. Food was great for the price! Would recommend!

I've been 4 times and have always enjoyed it. If you haven't been, you should go. Dana and Jordane are great servers. Request one of them to be your server when you go.
