If it's been a minute since you've tried Harry's Sidecar, you need to go back. Can't say enough good things about this place since they've made some changes recently. Food and atmosphere both fantastic, the new menu is a breath of fresh air for down town Fredericksburg. We had such a great meal and we will be back again and again.

Sat on the recently updated patio which has been accented with real plants. Service was attentive and our waiter had thorough knowledge of the extensive drink menu. All of the food came out quickly, was hot & tasty. The nacho appetizer was a big portion! Great value. The glazed salmon was excellent.

We used to really enjoy this place, but the last several times we have been turned away because they were either:

1) Closing early (9pm on a weekend, while their signage says they are open until 11pm).

2) Reservation only- we tried to go to the bar at 7:30pm on a weekend, bar was empty but apparently unavailable.

Food was decent, husband said his burger was good. We were a group of six who initially started out at the bar before being accommodated with a table (we didn’t have a reservation). The girls behind the bar appeared very busy but given that the restaurant is small they genuinely appeared to struggle with their workload. Add to that that neither of them cracked a smile throughout the entire evening, noted by every member of our group. Didn’t get the impression they enjoyed their work! Shame, it’s a cosy place and great for drinks and appetizers!

The food was delicious! We were visiting from out of town or we’d definitely be coming back.

Soooo good! Took a minute to get a menu but that was okay because we were checking everything out! Our table had our name on it so we knew where to sit and the server created a delicious sangria for me. Top notch!

We all loved this place. We had the dinner for two for 62 special. The craft cocktails were amazing. I loved the espresso martini (gin based of course bc a vodka martini is not a martini) and I usually don't go for coffee cocktails. Check this place out!

Parking: Watch out for permit only parking nearby. There is 2hr free until 7p, on Street parking so if you time it right...

we got our appetizer, 2 minutes later our entrees but still no drinks that were ordered immediately. we asked the hostess about our drinks and the waiter then arrived with one correct drink and the wrong beer. we pointed this out and he then returned with the correct beer and slammed it on the table. who I believe to be the manager came to our table with the bill and we did not see the waiter again. food definitely not worth going back.

This is an upscale restaurant and a nice place for a slower paced meal. It’s great for a couple’s night out. It’s actually adults only. The atmosphere is elegant, but you should realize this is a very small restaurant. Definitely recommend reservations to guarantee your space.

Our food was tasty. The crab dip was outstanding. My steak came medium instead of medium rare as ordered, but my wife generously traded with me (she also ordered medium rare steak and it did come cooked medium rare). The chocolate truffle cake for dessert had lots of flavor. The waitress was also the bartender and was able to advise us about drinks.

We had a great experience eating here during Restaurant Week. As a pro tip, they mentioned they actually offer the Restaurant Week specials all of July to avoid the crowd rush.

If you’re looking for somewhere kid friendly and cheaper, Harry’s Ale House next door is a nice option.

Parking: Parking is on the street downtown.
