Love the coffee and ambiance here. However, I no longer patronize them. I ordered a mocha and asked for coconut milk and extra whip. The final bill was more than $3 higher! Small but significant. I was incensed. I told them so and she just shrugged. I don't mind them charging more but do tell us when you do, BEFORE you make and charge me for the drink. I should have just walked out. I greatly dislike these hidden fees that slap you unawares. Maybe it was just that one clerk's fault, maybe it was store policy; I don't know.

This is my favorite coffee shop since moving to Fredericksburg! Everyone who works here is always so friendly. They have made my coffee EXACTLY the same way every single time. It's ALWAYS fantastic! I have given up on other coffee places (chain or small-business) in my expectation for consistency. I am willing to drive out of my way to get coffee here, because I know I won't be throwing money in the garbage.

This is a comfortable café with tasty pastries and beverages, however they are lacking in providing ceramic cups for staying in. This is a serious shortcoming given the varied environmental concerns plaguing the planet.

I’ve visit Hyperion Espresso several times, and have always had a great experience. I usually forget to leave a review, so I’m making sure to do it this time. Hyperion is a lovely little coffee shop in Fredericksburg that I would recommend to anyone looking for delicious coffee and pastries.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. On this visit, I got a cappuccino with an extra shot, and it was perfect. I had a cappuccino from Hyperion Espresso and it was amazing. The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans was intoxicating, and I love the smell of coffee. The drink itself was hot and strong in flavor, just how I like it. I added an extra shot, and it was perfect. The barista was super friendly, too. They don’t make flat whites, though, so I had to settle for a cappuccino.
A lot of the other reviews review the staff (which were just okay, not engaging at all) and the inside. Thought I would share a review of the actual coffee. Walking around downtown Fredericksburg, smelled the aroma of coffee and decided to pop in to Hyperion for an iced latte. My hopes were not high, as I have been let down by a lot of local mom and pop coffee shops and the espresso served is usually not to my liking. Got my drink, stepped outside and took a sip of the absolute best iced latte I have ever had (and I have had a lot!). Seriously. The espresso they use here is strong and absolutely perfect and delicious! While I didn't try anything else, the pastries they had for sale looked delicious as well. Can't wait to go back!
