I moved to Fredericksburg from New York April of 2022.. as I got off the train my first day in town I passed by katora and walked in for a coffee.. little did I know this would become my new home. Wednesday night open mic is amazing, the staff make sure that it is a welcoming safe space for everyone:-) love you Katora ;)!

The Raja Oolong and the apple cider cake were very tasty. However the cake was a little difficult to cut through with the plastic fork. I will be coming back to try more of the teas they have on the menu in the future. My friend got the tater tots and they were fantastic, and they were super crispy. My friend had gotten was the Calypso Green tea, and they said it was a bit watered down otherwise it was good. My other friend had gotten the Matcha tea with lavender, and she liked the flavor of the tea and would recommend the tea.

The only problem I personally have is that their milk is all plant based. For others that would be a plus.Went on First Friday for open mike. Had several good ones there.LGB+ friendly.Vegetarian options: Several different plant based milk.

We've stopped here twice now on our way back to Richmond from visits to NOVA, and Katora's breakfast sandwiches hit the spot every time. Staff was really kind and helpful too, and the overall vibe is very chill. We'll be back for sure.

I came by during restaurant week to get the coffee/tea and pastry special. I have been here before, and it was the same for me. I always feel overwhelmed looking at their menu. I will say, it's gotten bigger since the last time i was here, thank goodness! Previously there was like no menu at all-- in a Gemini, i can't have that many options! So their whole "the world is your oyster" way of their menu does not work for me. The employees are always nice, and i believe the gentleman who complimented my rainbow scarf headband was an owner? I got the cherry Danish and a London Fog and it was delightful! I haven't had a cherry Danish in so long, so I'm glad it was above and beyond what i expected. I love their inclusiveness, and that is a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. Next time i crave a pastry i will definitely be back!
My husband's words "I think this is the best coffee I've ever had in my life" he had a pistachio latte and I had a lavender vanilla latte. The delicious coffee was served with a genuinely kind spirit in an incredibly friendly atmosphere.

Is anyone else so tired of terrible customer service? I was waiting at the counter for someone to take my order and the guy comes up (with his headphones in) doesn’t say hello, doesn’t even ask me my order, and just stands there and waits for me to tell him what I want. If you don’t like people then find a desk job. I was happy to walk out and not give them my money.
