We were driving from New Jersey to North Carolina and decided to stop here for food and I’m so glad we did! The food was exquisite, full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The service was also very, very good everyone was welcoming and quick. We were originally going to go to Chick-fil-A but ended up here instead, and it turned out to be such a great choice. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

La Tingeria is a standout in our area, offering a fresh take on Mexican food that you won’t find anywhere else. Having tried Mexican cuisine during a visit to the California Bay area, I would say this place brings a similar vibe but with its own twist. The tacos are packed with bold flavors that elevate them beyond the standard Mexican food you typically get in Virginia. The food isn't masked with mounds of cheese and sour cream because it doesn't need to be. The staff is incredibly welcoming, making the whole experience even better. La Tingeria is delicious! Their staff are super welcoming and friendly. Their tacos are the best in the area-fresh, bold, generously filled and priced. I love their sopé and the corn base alone is clearly homemade and so yummy! Their churros are out of this world, they’re hot and filled with dulce de leche and perfectly crispy on the outside soft on the inside. The vibes are very pleasant. If I had a big group or I was going at a busy time I’d probably order to go, but eating in is still comfortable.
Dietary restrictions: I don’t eat gluten or dairy and haven’t had any difficulty eating from their menu. I eat their tacos and and sopés which are corn based. I haven’t searched the menu for other GF items that much yet, but there may be. They don’t have GF options of normally glutinous items (like quesadillas) but their tortillas/tacos/sopes are made by hand and very authentic so it would be a lot for them to add to that.
What is GF is so good and has enough variety to it I don’t feel the feel like I’m missing out at all. (Except the churros, I cheated on those once and have no regrets because they were one of the best bites of desert I’ve ever had, but I felt it!) I’ve asked for no sour cream/cheese and they’ve gotten the order right. I’m don’t have celiac’s so I can’t speak to that level of sensitivity.

I love it here. I’m here at least 1-3 a week. I love the Hal Pastor and the chicken chorizo. Being that I’m not a big pork eater it was my biggest attraction to here. Everything that I have tried is delicious. The sopas, the desserts and the drinks are all addictive. I would recommend every on the menu.

We went for taco Tuesday,and what a deal! We had the birria tacos, birria eggrolls, and carnitas tacos. The birria was not greasy at all, like most places I have had it. I would love to have birria Ramen from here! That would be an awesome addition to the menu!

We ordered the churros, and they were not what I expected. They had a filling and were more crispy than soft. I have to be honest, I have never had authentic chores, only Disney churros, so my expectations were probably wrong.
Barring my mistaken expectations, everything was awesome! You have a new customer!!!
