We arrived at lunchtime on a Wednesday. To a completely empty restaurant. Only one person came in the whole time we sat here. We started out with the restroom and washing our hands. Only one of the stalls will walk.Once the chips and also were served, we sent back the chips because they seemed stale and cold. We were brought warm fresh chips.We waited a long time for our food oddly, being the only three people in the restaurant.Once our meals were served, they were all cold or barely lukewarm. Including the beans and rice. The chicken fajitas were served on plastic melamine plates, not sizzling. as we were eating, we discussed the chicken a spice or flavor of that we couldn’t identify as a Mexican flavoring.The one chimichanga served, was Dewey and cold, not flaky and crunchy. Mostly inedible.We barely saw the waitress, and when she finally came around, she was told we were not satisfied. And she just shook her head OK. I’m surprised that there are better reviews recently. We were unhappy and we will not return.

This is a hidden gem in Fredericksburg, as the food was amazing. I got the mi casa sampler since it offered a bit of everything. The side of Yucca tasted fresh and homemade. They also offer a happy hour 3-6 and I even got myself an Pina colada. I highly recommend this place due to its high quality food and great prices!

Went on a friday night, very surprised to find it empty considering it’s a weekend and located in front of the university.Ordered birria tacos and my partner ordered a shrimp platter.My tacos were okay, but the rice and beans that came with it were better than the main course. the consomé that the birria tacos are served with is straight up oil and some chopped onions, which is gross. there was no flavor, lack of cheese, and the grease was more than enough for me.Shrimp was okay, a little rubbery though. Same statement that the rice and beans that came with the meals were better than the main course.Our server only came over to bring the food/drinks and our bill, no checkup on the meals or service.

Came here to meet up with some friends for dinner. We made a reservation, but clearly didn't need it, as it was empty aside from two other tables. The service was pretty good, our server didn't really make conversation with most of us, but my friend from Panama had great conversation with her in Spanish! I ordered a birria pupusa, which i didn't eat, but boxed up. I got a steak taco on corn tortilla from my friend and it was so mf good! Best corn tortilla I've ever had in my life, hands down! The chips and salsa were great, but i will say the chips were not warm, which is how i would have preferred them. Everyone loved their food! One friends food didn't come out with the rest, but they were so apologetic and got it out quickly thereafter. Everything seemed fresh and authentic and was definitely fantastic. If you're not looking for anything fancy, but you want a good meal at a food price, this is the place to come! Highly recommend!

My Casa is amazing, it's infinitely better than a certain rival restaurant nearby that makes you PAY to have chips and salsa. Also, here's my friend giving a thumbs up in front of the lovely dabbing taco sign.
This is a great little place tucked away in a corner of Fredericksburg that makes it easy to miss. We were the only people dining in while we were there. But it was a really good experience and we will be returning.
