Updated 1/19/26: First time here in 3 months and unfortunately, the service is the same. We arrived at 3:30 p.m. to a fairly empty restaurant. Still, it took 15 minutes to receive our first drinks. Our drinks and food were great, but there was always a 10 minute gap between finishing our drinks and receiving new ones.

Rebellion is our favorite place for drinks in Fredericksburg. The food and atmosphere are great. The reason I am giving 4 stars out of 5 is due to the service during our last two visits
On our last visit on January 25th, we came in for drinks. We were seated promptly, but it took 15 minutes for our server to come by our table and another 10 minutes to receive our drinks. We received our first drink 25 minutes after we were seated, which is unacceptable. We had the one drink and left.

Our other recent experience was very similar. Both times we had numerous servers walk past us and our server on the last trip blamed the delay on shift change. We will return, but we hope for much quicker service on our next visit.

Made reservations for the window table for ten people for my son in laws birthday. They gave the window table to another party and then had no where to put us! We were all sitting at different areas of the restaurant. We were waiting for the problem to be rectified somehow. Shockingly they did absolutely NOTHING to rectify the situation. We all left at halftime of the game. Nice place, good food, terrible management!!!!!
What was supposed to be a day of celebration turned into a day of total frustration. You ruined my son in law’s birthday and lost us as regular customers. I own my own business, and I would NEVER treat my customers like this.

My friend and I stopped in Friday night and sat at a table downstairs to grab some food and drinks. Within an hour the whole place was full. Bar, tables and seats were all filled and the bartender, Annabelle was moving nonstop to service everyone single-handedly!

Unfortunately, later in the night while bringing a couple drinks down from the upstairs bar she slipped on the last couple of steps. Fortunately she was ok. She marched right back upstairs to have the drinks remade and served them to the customers.

About 15 minutes later she got everyone’s attention and announced that because of the fall she was asked to cash out everyone’s tabs and end her shift. The collective disappointment throughout the room was palpable and audible. As she went to each table to settle the tabs she was apologizing to each customer individually. The feedback from customers was sympathetic and really positive. She received a lot of compliments for her stellar service and friendly attitude throughout the night. I just wanted to leave a review to echo those same sentiments.

Most importantly, we were glad that she was OK, but we felt bad for her that she had to end her shift so abruptly. It was clear to everyone that she’s a hard worker and she had won over the costumers with her personality and humor. We hope she’s there next time we visit.

This place needs a visionary to transform it into the place it is capable of becoming. George Washington's Armory is poorly managed and the upstairs is not much better. They have a man o' war drink in a martini glass which is embarrassing. The restaurant has so much potential to be badass and they fall short pretty significantly. It is a dishonor to the American revolutionaries and I believe the founding fathers would not be proud of how it is being managed in present day.

This is my message to the owner: You need to do something fast or your restaurant will not be around for long and if it is, it will not be a desirable place to visit.

Rebellion USED to be my wife and I’s favorite spot. Until we witnessed an employee wrongfully terminated to no fault of her own. The bottom of Rebellion has the “Armory” an awesome new age speak easy. The bar tender working was walking down the stairs delivering drinks to the customers and slipped, with beer spilling all over her. Rather than checking on the employee, a customer complained to management about the spilled drinks. Management then closed the downstairs, and kicked everyone out. The bar tender was then wrongfully fired. When other customers confronted the manager, we were told “she doesn’t haven’t time for this” and continued to close the lower bar and fire the employee….the fact that management didn’t care about the employee who slipped or anyone else’s opinion on the situation is disgusting behavior and speaks LOUDLY about the priorities. Once an awesome spot that we loved going too, turned into a place we won’t be returning with how they handled the situation.

I was downtown for business the last couple days. I had dinner one evening and an appetizer the next night. The Swiss Smash burger was excellent as were the maple bourbon wings. I'll be back another night to try something else on the menu.

Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Burger, wings, fried pickles, desserts and cocktails. Also a nice variety of happy hour items on a weekend early evening is always a plus!

Went for drink and found the speak easy in the basement. So much fun. Highly recommended for a social experience you wont forget. Even if you go solo you will find someone to talk to. The staff are very knowledgeable of their spirits and are more then willing to help you make a selection if you are on the fence about something.

Date night was a success! My wife and I send the kids to their grandparents house and decided to have a date night each day of the week. We actually intended on going to another location but they were closed from January 1st to January 7th. We looked online and decided to give Rebellion FXBG a chance. We didn't have a reservation so the wait would have been about 30 minutes, but an awesome guy named Chris moved over so we could share some bar space. The vibe was spectacular and the customer service was excellent. I believe that we were served by Brian and Bella. If I have the names wrong, we can charge it to the strength and delicious nature of the drinks. James(Waiter) also offered awesome conversation, energy and information about the food. I would have included pictures of the food but we ate the evidence. I only have a picture of the joy that we felt. We ate the half-off happy hour appetizers. My wife and I decided to share a bunch of appetizers. The thick slab bacon was spectacular. The smoked maple wings were outstanding. The flavor was nestled deep within the meat and it was cooked perfectly. The brussel spout caesar salad was delicious. We also ordered the shaved brisket(cooked medium) nachos. The portions for everything were huge since the happy hour items are the regular menu sizes, so I'm really glad that we just shared. The beverages were also perfect. This felt like one of those places that you walk into and everybody immediately treated you like regulars. We will absolutely be back.

Went to rebellion for half off burgers which were amazing, but as an appetizer we got the nachos and add chicken this appetizer is huge and the taste was fabulous. The chicken was a smoked chicken so it added so much flavor!! When we visit the area we always stop here for food. Keep up the great work rebellions
