The service is one woman. Everytime. She's brisk, and she's got a reason, not many could keep up. They got the best Thai in town, so strange hours and quick service are what you get.
And you better say Thank You Very Much.
The BEST I've had. 👌 treat em right.

ANOTHER JERKOFF THAI PLACE!! This is the second time I drove all the way here to try a thai spot. STRIKE TWO. There won't be a strike 3. And we didn't even get to the food part. I guess they don't wanna wash dishes so they close the dining room early. First it was Spice thai now this one. I'll just stick with the Richmond restaurants. We have some good ones. DINE IN OR TAKE OUT! WHICHEVER! Their's even got a buffet if you want to sample different dishes. I suggest the thai people here in Fredericksburg go the food truck route. Since they wanna limit their interactions with customers that seems like a better fit.

I love the food here. It’s flavorful and consistent. Any reviews talking about service should practice patience as they quite literally have a sign by the register stating they’re understaffed, yet they still deliver a quality meal. Thank you Tarntip!

Service is slow. The food is good, but we waited for our food for about 40 minutes. Then, we waited for the check for another 15 after we had finished eating.

Love Tarntip. Usually I have no complaints. Food is fresh and tasty and quite on the reasonably priced side. Dinning in, I feel as if the proportions are right on and quite good.

Over the years though the takeout portions seem like they are lacking. 3/3 times we’ve gotten takeout here, our boxes were quite under packed and usually made for just shy for under one serving.

Bangkok on the other hand gave EXCELLENT portion sizes for takeout but aren’t as tasty as Tarntip. From a value perspective, I’m starting to consider Bangkok as our new main Thai restaurant for take out despite Tarntip having the tastier food.

If Tarntip corrects this, they are the no brainer choice for Thai Takeout in FXBG.

Food was a little bland, especially the Som Tom. Options are limited as they don't have brown rice available for substitution. Service was good but the restaurant and especially the bathroom were not very clean.

Dietary restrictions: No brown rice substitution

Well, I am a poor judge of "atmosphere". This is a lovely quiet place to eat wonderful food. I had my fav...Tofu Pad Thai...spicy! Tarnip Thai offers 5 levels of heat. I chose 4 and it was very nice. I will try 5 next time to set my preference.

The food there is great, my only problem was when my husband ordered angel wings for an appetizer from the menu, it doesn't say the amount of wings you are getting so for the price of $8.99, you would think you'd receive at least 6 or 8 pieces but instead, we were were served only 4 pieces totalling of 2 whole wings (2 drumettes & 2 wingettes. $2.00 per piece lol
Ridiculous. The appetizers cost almost as much as a meal and you don't get much at all. I do not recommend ordering appetizers.
