Ate here a few weeks ago for the first time and the food was great. Went to come back tonight with the family @6:30pm and they were CLOSED. No sign on the door explaining closure outside of standard hours. YELP users have said the same thing, it's marked closed, for good? No news or information posted on the business Facebook or Google. Sad! Was pretty good.

Great idea for different food to serve. Add ons to your pita sandwich a great idea.

Absolutely amazing falafel and accompanying items. Best tzatziki (spelling?) I've ever had . Yum!!!!!

Great falafels and awesome fries. The best part is the toppings bar. More toppings than you have room on your plate or knowledge that these existed. There are few veggie places in Fredericksburg (can count on one hand) so this place is a welcome addition.

I don't know what everyone is raving on about but they don't know good Mediterranean food. If you want seriously good, authentic , no frills Arab food go to Sedaqhat Market If this is your first time trying falafel then it doesn't matter where you go.

I've had to leave this review because Yelp is useless. If everyone is a critic, no one is a critic. I don't know what everyone is raving on about but they don't know good Mediterranean food. If you want seriously good, authentic , no frills Arab food go to Sedaqhat Market If this is your first time trying falafel then it doesn't matter where you go. So my issues were predominately with the price point and the usage of pita to pack it rather than wrap it, which you see in a lot of Israeli falafel joints, but the price point is through the roof for what you are getting. Israeli pita might be the superior bread but it doesn't make a superior sandwich. It also is not worth 8.00 for falafel and 8.50 for shawarma, they are banging heads. Also, they only have shaved chicken and it sucks, the turmeric is not aromatic and it's nothing special, it sucks. They don't offer lamb or beef, that sucks. It just isn't very good This is a dine-in restaurant and they don't freshly shave the meat for you. I expect a dine-in restaurant to at least be better than the average street stall sandwich and it's way below the mark. Remember that this food is typically street food, it might be new to you and seem fancy but it's not, it's not supposed to be elegant or trendy. Sadly, I can say I've had much better shawarma sandwiches for a few bucks from the average street stall.

Love this place! I've lived a block away and didn't even know it was there until recently. Good food and quick service, great selection.

Freshly prepared falafel sandwich combo (w/ fries and a drink) for under ten bucks. Unique and tasty toppings of your choosing (whatever fits in the pita). Fries were crispy and hot. Cool ambiance with pictures.

There aren't a ton of vegetarian options in Fredericksburg, especially if you want something other than a black bean burger. The Falafel Joint definitely tops my list of favorites here. It's a small restaurant--3 round tables and then bar seating on the perimeter walls. The menu is small, but what they do, they do really well. The falafel is delicious but the toppings bar and sauces are out of this world! The unicorn sauce is the best but the others rock, too! The toppings bar has a nice variety of flavors and textures. Turkish salad, pickled onions, beets, hummus, and pickles are what I always add to my bowl. Fries are always hot and perfectly cooked. Staff is very friendly, patient and quick to offer help with the toppings bar should you need it. Doesn't hurt that they also serve our favorite draft beer. :) We love supporting local restaurants over chains and The Falafel Joint is our go-to place for a delicious and filling meal.

Staff was exceptional. Enjoyed the 'salsa bar'. Second the comments about the small Falafels. Would definitely return.

Great food, lots of homemade accoutrements and a cute little dining area.

This was a wonderful little Saturday afternoon lunch choice. My wife, daughter and I had a great time connecting with the team, enjoying their vegan options and the great atmosphere. It can get crowded, but that's what is supposed to happen with great little shops like this. Enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.

This place may fool you but don't let it. Very small place but the food was delish. I think this was some of the best hummus I've had. Hubby agreed. The falafel is so so yummy. The chicken was delish. My husband and I wonder why it took us so long to come here. If you love falafel this is a must try
