Wild Waylon's beats out every BBQ place in the area. The fact that it is a family own business is a major plus as well. If you want REAL bbq, this is the spot!

The brisket sandwich is an absolute star. Paired with some jalapeno poopers, mac and cheese and cornbread, you got yourself a party.
I am sad that as I live in Australia I won't be able to keep coming back.

Stopped in visiting Fredericksburg for the first time and ate my fill! Family owned and ran, great atmosphere and house-made sauces! New sandwich every Fridays! Gotta try!!!

Our first visit here will NOT be our last. It was Saturday, and beef ribs were on the menu! It was juicy tender with the right amount of smoke and spices. My wife and I sampled several different sides, the pulled pork, and the brisket sandwich. The owners aim to please and they did! Please support this local, family-owned business. You won’t be disappointed.

We ordered the ribs. The meat was good quality. It was just too darn spicy to be enjoyable. The baked beans were spicy as well. Overpriced sides . Very friendly staff and avery clean restaurant. We won't be back bc of the spice level but I wish all the luck to these people bc they are nice and friendly.

Fantastic bbq, and even better service, stopped in today with my son he's a picky eater, after taking one bite of the brisket he said to me this is the best brisket I've ever had lol. Highly encourage you to try this place out.

If you have not eaten here , YOU NEED TO GO RIGHT NOW! I can’t express how good the BBQ is. We have now eaten here about 6 times. I try to mix it up with menu items everytime we come in.

You really can’t go wrong with any item on the menu . It is all FANTASTIC. My favorite so far has been the BEEF RIBS, they are fall off the bone , slap yo mama good.

The sides are just as good as any of the meats . BEWARE , the jalapeño corn bread is a meal in itself, more like a bread pudding that will stop your heart . This is a must have .

The owner and his family are super friendly and they DO NOT skimp with the servings.

Go early because they sell out of popular items quick, there is a good reason for this because it is unbelievably good.

Again, I cannot recommend Wild Waylon’s BBQ enough. ITS WORTH DRIVING OUT OF STATE TO GET BBQ LIKE THIS.

GREAT experience!! The food was perfect, and the staff was super friendly! I'm from Washington State, and I now have my favorite spot to come to whenever I'm back in Virginia. Sauces are home made, the dessert was home made. We had the smoked pumpkin pie with home made whip cream ... OMG, was sooo good!!!

A little off the beaten path but we'll worth the trip. Outstanding BBQ with a couple of twists that worked out great. The meats are fantastic.Best beans in a long time. They make all their sauce, try them all. Price are reasonable and portions good. The spread they have for the cornbread biscuit is off the charts, pickles are amazing. To top it off the owner/server/chef goes above and provides customer service that you rarely see but wished everyone could do.Highly recommend

My family and I have been looking for a good BBQ place in Fredericksburg for a little while and we have tried a few places, but no place is as good as here. The brisket and ribs were so perfectly cooked. They were tender and fell right off of the bone. The meat was not dry like some other places I've tried in Fredericksburg. They have a great sauce selection. I recommend you all to try this place if you like BBQ and I would genuinely recommend this place to my friends and family. The baked beans exploded with flavor. Also the service was great!!!!

This unassuming end unit of a strip shopping center is home to one of the best casual BBQ experiences you'll have in these parts. The weekend special sandwich I had was amazing: a generous helping of pulled pork topped with equally gracious portions of coleslaw, baked apples, and pickled red onions. ALL OF THEM WERE HOMEMADE, no store bought filler! That's how you do legit great BBQ! The pimento mac and cheese was excellent, with creamy sauce over shell pasta and not over-seasoned. The deviled eggs were fresh and tangy, as good as you'd ever get at a family picnic full of heavy aunties. There's a huge array of sauces to choose from Virginia to Carolinas to Alabama white. I'm a sucker for hot vinegar, but to each their own. This is a family run joint and they make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, with a smile and a warm greeting. This is going to become a regular joint for sure, if for no other reason than wanting to try every single thing on the menu. I didn't take any pictures because I couldn't stop myself from digging right in. Right on!
