This legendary restaurant - Blue Wing Frog- moved to Strasburg last year, and what a gain for Strasburg! We were there for a special occasion and met our friend there. Every piece of food that went into my mouth was heavenly- We ordered potato pancakes and grilled shrimp for appetizers, and I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich on home made bread and a side salad. For our special occasion desert we shared a gigantic piece of home made carrot cake. The potato pancakes were sublime and well seasoned, the grilled shrimp, a house specialty, was absolutely perfect and nicely seasoned and served hot. The grilled cheese was on thick slices of freshly baked slightly sweet bread and grilled to perfection with a melty middle. Even the fruit on the side was perfect- fresh and cold ripe kiwi slices, fresh orange slices and a plump red ripe strawberry. The side salad of all fresh ingredients was served very cold with the perfect spring blend of lettuce, kale, and spinach and cucumber and cherry tomatoes. But the vinaigrette dressing elevated the salad to the stratosphere. Again, it was cold, fresh, high quality oil and vinegar ( and maybe lemon???) and herbs where the fennel stood out as a lavendery luscious overtone. We finished our repast with a celebratory huge slice of home made carrot cake we shared which WAS TO DIE FOR, and I could have eaten the not overly sweet cream cheese frosting like a bowl of ice cream just by itself with carrot cake topping! I had hot herbal tea served in a generously large glass mug too. The actual carrot cake was moist, had a nice mixture of carrots and fried fruit and all of the proper spices to just satisfy a sophisticated sweet tooth! I look forward to eating my way through the Blue Wing Frog menu! What a treat! The service will improve when the town steps up to support this gem and when tourists get steered there by the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism officials, and then the profit margin from increased customer base will allow the team to hire wait staff in the front of the house. Support Blue Wing Frog Strasburg and Valley peeps!! We West Virginians will come as often as we can!Vegetarian options: If you like well-seasoned veggies served at the proper temperature you’ll love the food!

Good flavor however, Over priced for very little food on plate. Hard to find waitress and place was empty. Sad.

Excellent food, very comfortable atmosphere with attentive and entertaining service, and ample parking. The burgers, the porkbelly banh mi, BWF Twisted Philly Cheese steak, and spicy potato wedges (AND their sauces) all get full marks. Even the coffee and iced tea were on point. On the main street of a charming little Blue Ridge town, just a smidge off I-81. I hope to go there again soon!

The "skrimps" are to die for and Robert (chef/owner I believe) was lovely to interact with! So glad this place has moved into town! Great fresh food that is made from scratch right down down to the ketchup! Whenever possible LOCALLY sourced can't beat that!

Best shrimp I've had, perfectly cooked. In the middle of Shenandoah, who'd have thought? The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, and has good taste.

My husband enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and the staff. I had the homemade french toast on raisen bread, which was very good. Everyone was super friendly and we did not have to wait forever for our food. We are planning on going back for the evening menu sometime soon.

I have waited for years to write this as I wasn’t sure how to say it. Now I know how. This quiet restaurant patiently served my cold burger with a hair in it. Once it was brought to manager/cashier’s attention, she casually explained that the hair must have gotten there by butchers. She didn’t offer to remake the order, she simply offered to not charge me for soda. I was there with a group of people from Church and didn’t make a big deal out of it. But yes, if you like to keep your facility free of certain demographics then just say so. There’s no shortage of restaurants.

This was a lovely serendipitous experience in Strasburg. We were welcomed as friends into a cozy dining area. I had a delightful blood orange greens salad and shrimp and my husband tried the Twisted Phillie Cheesesteak sandwich. The menu consisted of unique entrees and we learned that all condiments and sauces are homemade. We will definitely stop by again!

Overall the food was great, The portion of the appetizer I got was not worth the price I paid. Staff was friendly there was two other tables while we were there. The Kitchen was very slow it took almost an hour for our food to come. They have a very limited Menu the food was pretty good not really up my alley I wouldn't personally go back unless there are more options on the menu but overall worth a try.
