Owned by a family that is the maitre D and the chef, this restaurant is pretty solid. Good food (beware the spice levels!) from several parts of the globe. The man running the front of house is personable and fun to talk to & happy to come and go with conversation while you eat if you don’t mind. Some of the desserts could benefit from some nuts, but that’s me stretching for a negative here.
I stop by here every time i visit VA and it is literally so good. The food is so good and clean, and they have lots of gluten free and vegan options, so my mom who has celiac can eat comfortably. It’s the cutest little place and the owner is super friendly. I’m obsessed.
Wow! What a great find. After hiking Buzzard Rock we wanted to sit, chill and enjoy some lunch. The menu provided lots of options and we settled on side salads (get the buttermilk ranch dressing) and shrimp po boys. The Maque Choux seemed simple, but was so flavorful. The po boy was big enough for two, but it is so good you may not want to share. Everything from the artwork to Robert’s entertaining stories made the visit memorable.
