Holy hell, this place is IT. Who stops for Mexican food in a strip mall on a road trip? Well, I do I guess and damn was it the right call. Excellent food, with great flavor and just the right amount of heat. Portions are enormous! The Parillada platter for one would easily feed two, and was so good. Quesabirrias tacos were also amazing! Don’t fill up on chips and salsa, because the food itself is spot on.
We went here a few days ago, and the restaurant was very clean. Our server was very friendly, though I didn’t catch his name. I’m giving 4 stars because I ordered the seafood chimichanga, and I didn’t enjoy the “fishy” aftertaste. I like seafood, but not to the point where I’m still tasting it an hour after eating. However, the beef burrito was good.
I have never had a bad meal here. I grew up in Arizona, so I know my way around Mexican food, and when my parents retired to Lake Frederick, I didn’t exactly have high hopes for good Southwest cuisine in the Winchester/Front Royal area. Boy, was I wrong! Generous portions, wide variety, outstanding salsa and a wait staff that is *always* on point. Will definitely be back many, many times 😎👍
