The restaurant needs significant TLC. The kitchen was dirty, which is unacceptable, especially considering it’s an open kitchen. I ordered the Hot Ham and Cheese, but they added lettuce and tomatoes while grilling it, which was unexpected. I also tried the BBQ sandwich, which was simple and unimpressive; there was plenty of meat, but it lacked flavor. Additionally, the ice cream in the milkshake had clumps of cream, suggesting it was a cheap product.
While the restaurant aims to create a 1950s or 1960s atmosphere, the overall rundown condition makes it feel much older. I apologize for being so blunt in this review, but everything about the place was uninspiring. BTW, the restaurant promotes itself as a BBQ spot, yet it only serves one BBQ sandwich.

The barbecue is good, but the combo came with only half an order of fries. When I asked why, the server said "We only have one size order of fries here." I counted and there were only 10 fries in the container which was barely half full.

The bread on my mom’s sandwich and mine was burnt ! The sandwiches was throwed together! Never again will we eat there. If you can’t take pride in your work stay home! This is Galax, VA place. Mt. Airys is good!

Typically have a great experience and food from here. Today, July 6th I go in with my fiancé and order a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, cheese munchers, and he ordered two hotdogs, onion rings and two drinks. While waiting for our food, the employees were bickering with one another like high schoolers in front of several customers. I had to ask the front lady to grab my food, which had been sitting there for five minutes. Upon placing my food on the tray, I was missing my fiancés onion rings. When I asked about it, she stated he had not ordered them and would have to charge me for them. I told her she wouldn’t be charging me for them because he HAD ordered them. This ladies mother, who I’m assuming is her manager as well steps in and states there is no need for attitude and yells for my onion rings. Finally, getting to sit down and eat my food. My biscuit was cold, there was no bacon but mustard had been added. Looking at the receipt that clearly said “bacon biscuit, add egg, add cheese” I am furious. Do better Aunt Beas, I understand being busy. I used to work for a restaurant that was far busier and never once did I allow someone to see orders piling up, and still ignore it! You weren’t too busy to argue with each other about your rotation.

Been having breakfast here several mornings. I believe they cook the eggs on the same grill as their pork sausage. I might have to stop eating them. Other than that, I love the pancakes and oatmeal.

There was only 3 workers, kudos to the 3 because they was busy a working hard. But they had no one to run front counter, I left but not due to service, it was no help a wait time. Sad to see this restaurant struggling!

The portions were small on the steak platter which was really a thin burger patty. The chicken salad was good and so was the macaroni salad but portions were just small. You order and get it yourself but the young lady taking orders did good for just starting
