Service was horrible, waitresses taking up a table and huddled around it, loudly stating how it was entirely too busy in there. As an experienced waitress it was not anywhere near unrealistically busy. The expos brought our food to our table and we were missing something, the waitress never came back to ask us if everything came out ok or if we needed anything, luckily I was able to flag down a expo again and let her know. We have been going to Creek Bottom for several years when we visit Galax. We stopped this weekend to find the restaurant had just reopened and now had a beautiful renovated bar area. With their new bar area they increased their drink prices. I was changed $11 for an old fashioned and another $9 for Elijah Craig, served with a great value maraschino Cherry! $20 for one Old Fashioned is ridiculous. Creek Bottom Brewing, Distillery & Restaurant offers a fun environment with delicious food and drinks. The service is often described as wonderful, top notch, and lighting fast. The brews and brisket are delicious, with the brisket noted as the best of a lifetime. The menu features items like a smoked wings, pickle fries, floppy chips, pizza, a mushroom burger, and a pulled pork sandwich with choice of BBQ sauce. Hand cut fries are cooked perfectly. For special occasions, experiences like a Valentine's Day special with a surf and turf meal and live music are offered. The brewery has good cold beer, with many IPA's and a splendid amount to choose from, including a blond peach pale ale. There is a large sitting area and a large bar with multiple TV's. The restaurant is also pet friendly. It is a place where visitors look forward to returning to try regular menu items.
