“Never fails to satisfy! I live in Mount Airy, NC but when I’m in the mood for this place I do not hesitate to drive here one bit. I LOVE this place. I have came here over the years with friends/ family and by myself at times too. The food is amazing. The atmosphere especially in the summer months are fantastic most of the times the doors are opened to the street side and it’s just something about small town Galax that is just a great atmosphere to be in. Some times there are car shows downtown and you get to see them go by and hear and see the sights and sounds of that as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Galax Smokehouse if you are in the area. Nice staff over the years. I do appreciate you all serving the community over the years. You guys do an awesome job!“

“The portions were small on the steak platter which was really a thin burger patty. The chicken salad was good and so was the macaroni salad but portions were just small. You order and get it yourself but the young lady taking orders did good for just starting“
