Service was horrible, waitresses taking up a table and huddled around it, loudly stating how it was entirely too busy in there. As an experienced waitress it was not anywhere near unrealistically busy. The expos brought our food to our table and we were missing something, the waitress never came back to ask us if everything came out ok or if we needed anything, luckily I was able to flag down a expo again and let her know. I think it was more annoying being beside the “waitress...read full review
We have been going to Creek Bottom for several years when we visit Galax. We stopped this weekend to find the restaurant had just reopened and now had a beautiful renovated bar area. With their new bar area they increased their drink prices. I was changed $11 for an old fashioned and another $9 for Elijah Craig, served with a great value maraschino Cherry! $20 for one Old Fashioned is ridiculous. Creek Bottom Brewing Company Tasting Room & Pub offers a great dining experience with a wide selection of cold beers and delicious food. The restaurant has a spacious covered patio with a stage that sometimes features live music, creating a fun environment. The menu includes crispy smoked wings, hand-tossed pizzas, brisket plates, shrimp tacos, and a salad named 'The Porker,' all made with fresh and well-prepared ingredients. They also offer local beers, in-house brews, and a variety of merchandise. The staff is friendly, attentive, and provides good recommendations, ensuring fast service. It’s an excellent place to stop for food and drinks, especially for those in the area for camping or biking on the New River Trail. The pulled pork sandwich was amazing, with a choice of BBQ sauce like Va Tangy. The brisket has been described as the best of a lifetime, while the burgers and pizzas are also great. They serve hand-cut fries that are cooked perfectly with a little crunch. The teriyaki chicken wings slide right off the bone, and the nacho chips seem homemade and are very good. Creek Bottom is pet friendly, and the patio area is dog-friendly. Even on a Wednesday night, with live entertainment like John Prine tribute performances, the place remains busy.
