Edited: service is just always real slow to get food. The food is delicious though. (Betty boop also pictured) The food here is always amazing when I visit. I love their bone in hot wings. They are deliciously breaded and sauced. I tried a sandwich for the first time yesterday and it was very nice. I did build your own on rye, turkey, corn beef, Swiss cheese, bacon, coleslaw (I would like more coleslaw) and then asked if they could add thousand island. Very good and big size.

The service is bad Is my first time but I believe the place can be beter if there is comunication from the kitchen to the service people the food is exellent but omg the wait is like 1 hour for food to be serve also also they need to tell in advase what they dont have my family order a sanwich with avocado and they didnt have avocado they toll then like 40 minutes later then after 1 hour they said they dont have potato salad I fell bad for those service because they are the one to come and said sorry after 1 hour the manager need to be involve on this situationes

I placed a takeout order online around 3:50pm. I show up around 30 minutes later and was told my order was being bagged. Yet, I continued to wait until after 5pm. Taking over an hour to complete my order, which was only 4 entrees. Mind you, I watched a couple walk in after me place their entire order and received their food and drinks before I got anything. Then finally when I did receive my food, I didn’t receive any apology or any gesture to have a nice day or anything of the sort. I understand things happen , but they weren’t busy and clearly just didn’t care. I suggest others to think twice before ordering here.

Patronized macado's a few times over the years. Past 2 times they didn't have draft mich ultra which is the only beer we drink. Today we had a houseful of holiday company so I called Macado's in Galax to see what drafts they had. The response was we can't discuss alcohol. I just want to know if you have Mich Ultra draft. I can't answer that for you. Well great job cause you lost $250 that we ended up spending at Creek Bottom! Wise up. This Galax branch should be closed up!

Sandwiches are worth the money, and great tasting. The atmosphere is awesome with the local and regional memorabilia. The restaurant itself is setup in an old post office. It is pretty cool

(Galax location) It had a rough patch over the last few years with Covid etc, but we’ve visited several times in the last couple of months and the service is great now, had Regina today, but all servers have been excellent. They manage a large menu well and the food is very tasty fast casual. It’s our favorite place in Galax.

The Galax Macado's had a struggle during Covid, but lately, it's been great. Service is attentive, friendly, efficient. Regina is the girl you want! Food comes out quickly, and the weekly specials are pretty dang good deals. Our regular stop when we are in town.

Arrived at 4:50. Received food at 6:40. Food was decent - my fish was dry and pretty hard. Everyone else enjoyed theirs. Finally received the check at 7:10. The place was not crowded.
Update: had to make an emergency restroom break 20 min after we left. I guess the fish was bad afterall.
I would not recommend this restaurant.

My son and I were there early on a week day and the manager (Taz) was our server as well as the cook. The service and the food were both amazing! A great place to visit and we highly recommend it!
Great home style food with great big sized portions! Got a turkey sandwich and the meat in that sandwich is like the good ole days at a deli shop an inch thick of meat! Came with a bowl of potato salad that was delicious. Waitress was a local lady who has worked there for 14 years and you could feel the home town atmosphere and service really appreciates that especially these days of the the typical eateries. I really recommend this place!

Service is good, food is good and the restaurant has fun memorabilia for the children and adults alike. There is a lot On the menu I would check it out online beforehand to get a feel of what you like or what you don’t like. It’s all good and I have yet to have a bad meal. The appetizer; Irish nachos is delicious. Great desserts. It kind of has it all. There will be something for everybody.

No. Never got it . Wife and I stopped in for a burger . 45 mon later waiter told us be up soon . 15 minutes later she told us was having problems in kitchen . Wasn't crowded . Then realize maybe have been lied to as waiter stated was up shortly and must have already known . Bar and restaurant. So I believe it's more use to drinks being served than food . As wasn't crowded . If kitchen couldn't keep up with what was at this place then they need to either just be a bar . If a restaurant consider getting staff can do the job . A real problem when waiter even just lies to you instead of being honest and let me make decision to stay and wait more or leave . This was our first visit as just moved to area . May be last . Just think it's shameful . Over all we waited an hour to be mislead and still go elsewhere. Sure not what you expect from service . Staff to me reflects to ownership.
