We just found the Kane St. Smokehouse in Norton, and decided to try the one in Gate City out. I ordered the family meal. Everything was delicious. My only issues were the buns I added weren't toasted like they were at the one in Norton, also, I was upcharged for the chopped brisket, and received pulled pork instead. The Alabama white sauce also tasted wrong. I think we'll stick to the one in Norton. However, the food is still delicious, so I will give 3 stars.
Very good food ,we got the bbq pork platter, 2 sides and a roll.. 13 50 for the large platter, was not a Hugh portion of pork , need to increase it some. Mac and cheese was great ,Cole slaw was great to. Served with a tiny roll... would be better if served with a buttered piece of texas toast.. the roll was just a afterthought...didn't get really full but was good food. Drop the roll and add the texas toast please..........
A few days ago we took a cruise ride to the Hob Nob. A favorite place from my childhood as a Gate City kid. We saw the BBQ and smelled the great aroma from the BBQ pits and knew we needed to try it.
