I ordered Goat Biryani for the family pack with ~$30. Unfortunately, it was full of rice, with very few pieces of meat. The most concerning fact is that the food didn't feel fresh. Very disappointing.

So thrilled to have found such a wonderful Bangladeshi restaurant in Richmond! My husband and I tried the lunch buffet, and it was incredible! The naan was flaky and fresh from the oven, the chicken 65 was perfectly spiced, and the hakka noodles were nothing short of delicious. For only $19.99 a person, the buffet was a very good value. We look forward to coming back to Al-Medinah for the wonderful food and friendly service.

I like the restaurant because their food is very tasty. However, I am concerned about their prices, especially during Ramadan. Their iftar buffet does not have a set price like other restaurants do for takeout. Usually, buffets charge by weight, but this restaurant charges for each item individually. As a result, you can end up paying much more than expected.
For example, I ordered five items and some jalebi, and they charged me $36 for it. I was shocked and didn't say anything at the time, but I find that ridiculous compared to other restaurants. I kindly suggest that they reevaluate their pricing for the food.

It was a fantastic experience for us!! The owner and his entire staff are extremely cordial and welcoming. We stayed a night in Richmond, VA on our way to Canada and were looking for some authentic Bangladeshi food. lucky enough to have found it on google and visited immediately. Ordered Beef Tehari and curry which we carried all the way to Canada. It was extremely tasty and well cooked. We had a great converse with the fellow Bangladeshi people while the order was being processed. The owner even provided us with a pair of complimentary Shingara which were also delicious. Would love to visit here again whenever we travel along this route. All the best wishes!

Never expected such authentic Bangladeshi food when I first found this restaurant. Since then I have become a regular. I have tried the lunch buffet. Everything was freshly prepared. I have ordered from the menu and I was never disappointed. Clean restaurant. Very friendly service, eager to create a wonderful experience. This restaurant clearly beats any Indian restaurants nearby.

At the The lunch Buffet, they have an array of dishes ranging from Non Veg Varieties - Chicken Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, Fish, Mutton and Chicken Curry, Khichdi, Goat Paya...etc to Vegetable Options and dessert options along with Chai for Tea lovers.
Overall a wonderful ambience for a Family and Friends get together. Would definitely recommend this place to all Biryani fans at a reasonable price. Great Job!
