While visiting the area, I wanted to try something we don't have back home. Alohahola was great choice! The website was easy to use and the pictures/descriptions were helpful when selecting items. After ordering online, I headed to the restaurant where my food was ready in the most adorable bag.
The snow coconut chicken was delicious and the rice and macaroni salad made for tasty sides. I also ordered the crispy spam musubi - fabulous!
I should also mention that I only ate about 1/3 to 1/2 of the meal because there was SO MUCH!
If I'm ever in the area again, I will be visiting.

Lived in Hawaii for years. Fell in love with the local cuisine while there. I was very excited to see this in the area. I wouldn't really call this Hawaiian food. In fact, the kalua pork wasnt even close to what they serve in the islands. Let me put it this way, this restaurant wouldn't last very long in Hawaii. Very disappointed. The restaurant needs to have someone from Hawaii come in and show them how to prepare good Hawaiian food.

Huge fan. Will be back. Beef was phenomenal. Chicken could use some more flavor. Loved the ribs and macaroni salad.

For anyone that is wanting Hawaiian food, this is not it. This menu would not survive in Hawaii unless they renamed their dishes to something else. We ordered three traditional Hawaiian plate lunches (Loco Moco, Chicken Katsu, and Kalua Pork). All three dishes were served with rice (choice of white or fried) and Mac salad. Being the traditionalists that we are, we opted for white rice.

The Loco Moco gravy was off. There was something added that made it taste funny...maybe soy sauce? Egg was also fully cooked. There was no ask of how we'd like the egg when ordering. That was the second sign this wasn't going to be authentic (1st was when they ask if we wanted fried rice).

Chicken Katsu. Where's the katsu sauce? That savory dark sauce wasn't involved. We got some other clear orange colored sauce. We weren't exactly sure if it was meant for the chicken, but we dipped our chicken in it anyways because there was no other sauce. Without the sauce the chicken didn't have much flavor.

Kalua Pork. This one was the most off. It can be best described as what one finds in a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, but in a soup of barbecue sauce. It did have some cooked cabbage mixed in with the BBQ sauce too. Did not taste anything like traditional Kalua pork.

Mac salad was good, but again not authentic. More mayo than normal and lacked carrots.

Spam Musubi. You get two for a single order. Definitely pricey $7. They were on the small side. It wasn't anything fancy. Tasted fine, but not worth $7, when you can make them at home for significantly less.

They did have Hawaiian Sun's, but for like $3/can.

Food is what I'd consider as average. We won't go back and pay that much for something that isn't really Hawaiian.

Truly enjoyed bringing my nephew here a few weeks ago to enjoy the good Hawaiian food that this place had to offer. I ordered the hawaiian bbq chicken over white rice and the macaroni salad and my nephew got the buffalo wings and fries. Talk about delicious! My food was so good and the sauce they put to the side for my chicken was absolutely fantastic! Definitely recommend and will be back. Only thing to note is a little less cabbage at the bottom feels like it over shadows the amount of chicken and rice portion in there, but overall everything was delicious (especially the macaroni salad). Come on and try this place!

Food was ok. Took a little long to get the food. The music they played had explicit lyrics, which wasn't appropriate for a business setting. To each their own with music, but if one owns a restaurant, they should be more respectful to the various audience that eats at the location. I was embarrassed for any children that were their eating, and anyone else that doesn't want to hear profanity blasting on the speakers.

The food here tastes how L&L in NOVA is supposed to taste (ifykyk). We got the loco moco and short ribs with Mac salad. Food came out blistering hot (exactly how I like it) and the flavor gave me one of those ratatouille moments where I was immediately teleported to the memory of eating L&L in Hawaii. I didn't expect to find Hawaiian food in Richmond/Glenn Allen of all places, but if you've had L&L in Hawaii, then this is as close to that as you're gonna get on the east coast. Definitely coming back to try their katsu and other items.
