Being from Hawaii and living in Henrico for 12 years there was no place for local Hawaiian food. I was excited to find this place. I ordered one of my favorites, chicken katsu. It was good, they nailed the crunch and the Mac salad was phenomenal. I did notice they use white meat for katsu. Most places in Hawaii uses thighs since it’s juicier and more forgiving when fried. I liked it overall, reminded me of home. I will definitely continue to come and order from there.

Very young atmosphere. Food delicious and portions are very generous. Tast and flavors aren't over baring, not too salty or too sweet but just right.

This was our first time trying this restaurant. Hubby has changed jobs and needed to find new spots for Friday dinner. Hubby got off early so he had me put the order in online and picked up. This would have been closer to lunch time. The food was absolutely delicious and was all ready and hot when he got there for pick up. The got the hawaii BBQ plate and I got the seafood one. Absolutely delicious. Even the next day was still delicious as left overs. Very large portions. I absolutely loved the Mac salad. Will def be going again and putting it on our regular rotation

I did a carry out order for the Hawaiian Teriyaki Chicken which comes with rice and macaroni salad. It was a weird combination but very tasty. The chicken was thigh meat in sauce over a bed of very finely sliced cabbage. There was well over a pound of meat, enough that I had half for lunch the next day. As other comments have said, the macaroni salad was a smaller sized portion but that was fine with me as I don't really care for commercially made macaroni salad. (It tends to be slimy IMO.) This one was decent. I told my husband he would have loved it 'cause he's a macaroni salad fan.

I lived in Hawaii for over a decade and there were plate lunch shops everywhere...from Zippy's, L&L, to the smaller Mom and Pop places.

Got a mix plate and it hits right! Kalbi was great, Mac salad made with Dukes, short grain rice with furikake... about as authentic as you can get!

Will be my go to spot whenever I'm in this part of town.

Food was great. Short ribs are fire. Chicken too. Lil stingy with the Mac salad. But that's ok but because id punch a nun for these short ribs . Wicked good

What a great experience! I just started a new job in the area and I am so happy to have to found this place with Google Maps. Using the restaurants website, under the order menu, I was able to do some research on each of the menu items which included a picture and description of each dish served. I found that to me extremely helpful as I have never eaten Hawaiian food.

First off the place was clean as a whistle. The cashier/attendant was extremely polite and helpful with a smile. I ordered the Hawaiian Chicken Mix (amazing Katsu & Teriyaki chicken), Hawaiian Short Rib & BBQ Shrimp (OMG the grilled shrimp and short rib melts in your mouth) , Loco Moco (each bite a divinity of comfort), Takoyaki (a little weird at first but an excellent finish), & Philly Steak Egg Rolls (melt in your mouth goodness) as take out for family dinner. The takeout was perfectly packaged with nice sturdy containers with lids and a hefty reusable carryout bag. After a 25 minute drive home the food was nice and hot. The portions for each dish are enough for two people. The food is excellent, I really don't have the words to express how good everything was except what a perfect takeout dinner. I was left stuffed, happy and amazed!!

I can't wait to try everything else!

Travel all over and was in town to work for 3 days. Have never had anything like this before. It’s unique and delicious! Ate there the first night and it was so good I tried other items the next two nights for dinner. After all that, decided to drive home instead of flying so I could pack a cooler and drive this food 7 hours home to my family. It’s that good and I’m jealous to the core because there isn’t one in Ohio.
